$30k a year? That's what I made in the mid 90s.

I would give $1M to Tunnels for Towers and or Wounded Warrior Project and another Million for ASPCA and then spend $1-2M on the Andy Griffith house>

I would also watch the local news which always has stories about people whose business was vandalized or burnt down or robbed and would donate to them to help them get back on their feet.

You weren't living in the PI, I'm happy where I'm living. That's really it, you would have to sit around coming up with ideas what to do with it which you're happy with. That's what I'm not interested in. Coming up with a billion dollars worth of ideas just sounds like a burden to me. A million dollars I could just throw away. A billion and I'm going to need to start being a responsible philanthropist. That sounds like a job to me

Yeah making desperate people and animals happy and giving them hope doesn't sound like a job to me. To me it would be an incredible blessing.

And of course in my spare time I would be traveling around the world with my harem of hotties partying my ass off. Win Win! ha

That's what I am saying. Having a billion dollars would be an obligation to do something worthwhile with it. I'm at that point in life where I'd be busy trying to figure out how to give it away. I've got a three year old now. That's the life I'm focused on developing. Honestly I don't see a billion dollars being helpful with it. A million dollars would, a billion not so much. I'd like more money to ensure his education but I really wouldn't want to just leave him a billion dollars.

And I have been around the world. I really don't have much interest in going into the city these days let alone going around the world again. It does strike me as a bunch of hassle. Of course this is a function of getting old.

Speaking of, you have to be too young to remember the television show "The Millionaire". Jeez, it was 55-60. It's what it was about. Mysterious wealthy guy gives a million dollars to an unsuspecting beneficiary. It was like Mission Impossible. Each episode starting with his agent delivering this fortune to some unsuspecting person. The stories were how it impacted their lives good or bad. It was a popular show.

The market for the Seahawks was "soft." Until it wasn't.

Less than three weeks after Seth Wickersham of ESPN used the “S” word regarding the interest in the only NFL team currently for sale, Ian Rapoport on NFL Network (which makes him now an employee of ESPN) reported during a prime-time edition of Pat McAfee's show that the market is suddenly "robust."

Rapoport, who was careful to try to harmonize his reporting with the recent intel from a new colleague, added that the owners could have a special meeting in August to vote on the new owner.

The number, per Rapoport, "could eclipse $10 billion
Kinda interesting, the angle with a new owner could be griping for a new stadium. Not right away, the lease is up in what, five years?

What's wrong with the current stadium?

As I understand it when it was first built for Paul it was at the top of the income streams for stadiums, now it's sunk to like middle of the pack. It's going to be thirty years old when the lease is up. The guy that pays $10 bil for the team is going to want more super duper income earners in his stadium.

Stadium is getting old
Lumen Field was opened in July 2002, which means it’s nearly the same age as the Kingdome, the Seahawks’ previous stadium, was when it was demolished at just one day shy of 24 years after it opened. Lumen Field is undoubtedly in great shape for a stadium of its age, but one NFL team that also opened a stadium around the turn of the century is in the process of trying to build a new one – the Denver Broncos, who opened Empower Field at Mile High in 2001

Those two examples are at the far end of the spectrum. The majority of stadiums, arenas and ballparks stay in use considerably longer than 25 years. It's a moot point anyway. Given the lack of alternative sites in Seattle for a stadium, they would need to do another tear down and lose even more money playing at Husky Stadium or T-Mobile park for 2-3 seasons. And I don't see the largely socialist population of Seattle allocating one dime to fund a new building, unless it can also be used to house homeless drug addicts and host No Kings rallies several times a year.
