And it goes without saying JS will get considerably less back than what he gave the Redskins to get him in the first place.

But why? It wasn't his fault he wasn't prepared, had zero clue what to do and looked like he'd never played a football game before. I mean, don't you remember that it was all the OC's fault? All he needs is the next one to be an NFL starter, just wait.
I'd have traded him the next day for three ball bags and a 7th round pick. The dude is terrible.

Actually, John didn't necessarily give up too much for him. It depends on which draft value chart you use.
Washington got picks 78 and 152, Seattle got picks 102 and 179 (and Howell). If you go by the JimmyJ chart the difference in those picks is equivalent to a late 3rd rounder (~95th pick). But if you use the
Fitzgerald-Spielberger chart it is only a mid 7th rounder (~241st pick).

I'm thinking a 2057 7th round pick after his "performance" last season.

I actually don’t blame John here. It was a good trade, Howell is just fucking lazy and wasn’t prepared. Zero other reason to be that utterly clueless in a game when you have been the backup the entire season. He didn’t give a shit and he didn’t prepare. Sometimes it’s on the players to do the job they are paid to do!

That's the Jimmy Johnson table. The other one i looked at is from Overthecap and is based on salary data.
