Lynch article

Post by Donn Beach » Sun Aug 31, 2025 9:11 am

I believe the article touches on Lynch's qualifications for the HOF. Its the kind of thing john Clayton would press in the hof meeting if he was alive. Believe he is considered instrumental getting Tez into the hof with that presentation. Its unfortunate he's not here to promote marshawn

I couldn't get the embedded video to play so I found it elsewhere, this really is pretty impressive

Seattle has had several players with massive peaks but maybe not the full body of work.

I want to open up my own sports museum that celebrates peak dominance rather than 20 years of reliability.

Shawn Kemp, Felix Hernandez, Dwight Gooden.

The thing is the NFL hof doesn't really turn on extended bodies of work as the others, probably because of the nature of the sport.

That makes sense. The only HOF I've ever paid attention to is the MLB one and even that one I don't really care that much.

I don't know which Seahawks have been inducted, but I would say Marshawn is probably the biggest star in franchise history. That's why it's so crazy that he didn't get a chance to carry that ball across the goal line in that Super Bowl.

AI answer to his hof chances
. He is widely considered to have a strong Hall of Fame resume due to his 10,413 career rushing yards, 85 rushing touchdowns, five Pro Bowl selections, and a Super Bowl championship
his presence and impact will be weighed a lot more highly than longevity

Will they fine him if he doesn't give a speech after he's inducted?

Marshawn is one of my favorite players of all time. Of course he should be in the HOF. It's an easy one.
I also think possibly Largent or Russ are bigger Seahawk stars. but whatever.

The other day I was killing time at work and re-visited the 2013 NFC Championship on Youtube. IMO, there are
two Lynch runs that are very germane to this conversation.

1. 1:12:30 in the video. Marshawn has one of his very best TD runs. Why doesn't this run get replayed more?
2. 1:53:40 in the video. To those that believe it was a forgone conclusion that Marshawn scores and the Seahawks
beat the Patriots for their second SB win if only they would have just given him the ball... please watch.
