Enough of Bradford
Enough of Bradford
He is simply not the answer. I don't think he would start for the Huskies. It's time to look at Sundell
Re: Enough of Bradford
Outside of an injury situation - swapping olinemen in week 15 - probably not the way to go. That unit more than any other needs reps together. I see the reasoning but I don't see it happening. Not this late in the season. Was Bradford a major problem yesterday?
Re: Enough of Bradford
Well he tackled Walker for a 2yd loss. To be fair, he tried to block and fell down in front of Walker but it was a solid tackle.auroraave wrote: ↑Mon Dec 15, 2025 1:53 pmOutside of an injury situation - swapping olinemen in week 15 - probably not the way to go. Does that say more about Walker or Bradford?Bil522 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 16, 2025 3:41 amWell he tackled Walker for a 2yd loss. Re: Enough of Bradford
Walker did not have a good game. He danced way too much. Salk was saying this morning that it's one thing to do as much dancing around as he does, if you are going to break a big gain. But the number of short and negative runs he produces has become troubling. I am not a Charbonnet fan, as I don't think he has any big play ability at all. But give me 2nd and 7 because the guy drives forward instead of 2nd and 9, 10, or 11 because the guy is dancing around behind a mediocre O Line.Bil522 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 16, 2025 3:41 amWell he tackled Walker for a 2yd loss. Someone is going to give Walker a chance after this contract is up. I just hope it's not us.
There are productive backs available late, it happens all the time. We are going to have to draft some. Maybe we will add picks to this draft somehow? The draft has been a mixed bag of late.
2025
TreVeyone Henderson was a 2nd Rounder, 38th overall. They can thank the Browns for taking Judkins at 36.
RJ Harvey has been very productive for the Broncos. He was late second, 60th overall.
Tuten went to the Jags at 104 and Scattabo to the Giants at 105.
2024
The first back taken was Jonathon Brooks. He's been an injury issue, but wasn't selected until 46. The next back was Trey Benson, also has been an injury issue, and not taken until 66. Blake Corum was taken third, and probably the best...and not selected until 83. 24 was obviously not a good RB draft.
2023
Bijan Robinson went 8 and Jamyr Gibbs went at pick 12. High for a backs, but both worth it. Atlanta is stupid, but Bijan has still been worth that slot. We took Charbonnet next at 52. We might feel that was too high? But I am looking at the names below him and non jump off the page. DL Tuli Tuipulotu and WR Rashee Rice....but I'd say even a guy like me that isn't high on Charbo can't really fault us. Another poor RB draft.
2022
Breece Hall fell to 36. He's a stud. We took K9 next at 41. Bills got a steel with James Cook at 63. Tampa got Rachaad White at 91. Dameon Pierce at 107 was a steel, until injuries ruined him. Tyler Aglier was all the way down at 151. With draft capital like that? No wonder Atlanta takes Bijan off the field! LOL
2021
Travis Etienne has been a mixed bag in Jax, went 25. Javonte Williams went to Denver at 35. Trey Sermon next to the Niners at 88. Boy, have they taken some backs that didn't pan out or what!? Michael Carter at 107 and Rhamondre Stevenson at 120 have been decent values.
This exercise has really made me re-think my strategy of never signing a FA RB. The names on the list of the past 5 drafts have been underwhelming, unless you are willing to use an early pick! Let's hope the trend that seems to have been started last year continues. Henderson is a stud, and Harvey and Scattabo were real good this year.

Re: Enough of Bradford
Walker definitely isn't the same back that he was as a rookie, the injuries have taken a step away from him and it's obvious, plus he's not a tackle-breaker. He and Bradford are two guys you don't want running into each other.auroraave wrote: ↑Tue Dec 16, 2025 2:12 pmDoes that say more about Walker or Bradford?Bil522 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 16, 2025 3:41 amWell he tackled Walker for a 2yd loss. Do we look for RB 1st or Guard. My money's on Guard.

Re: Enough of Bradford
You would think they might try converting Bradford to NT given that his main (only?) skill as a player is in moving straight ahead and flattening anyone that gets in his way.

Looking forward to the new ways Kubiak is going to unleash the running game against the Lambs- 18 divided carries for K9 & White Wine for 41 yards/net - Getting nervous about this offense -

Re: Enough of Bradford
Quick passes, screens, occasional big chunk plays. Remember the longer Stafford is off the field the better. T.O.P. is key to this game. That & turnovers.
