Seahawks’ Derick Hall suspended 1 game for stepping on player

Post by trharder » Sat Dec 20, 2025 5:24 am

I admit to being a homer, but I've been looking at replays of this on "X" and I can't even tell for sure that he did
step on the guy. For me he seems to be trying to not step on him. wtf

I can clearly see him stepping on his leg. It didn't appear overly aggressive but he did step on him. And I don't think he made any effort not to. You can see the other Rams player taking exception with it.

I see this exactly opposite of you.

Fair enough. I see a guy stepping on an opposing player's leg and looking down at him as if to say, 'Take that'.

You can't assume that. That is not sufficient evidence to warrant a suspension. Total joke.

It's been clear for a long time that the NFL offices are anti-Seahawks. Fuck them.

Why does he lift his right back heel to raise up his left leg to step down? No need for that if he's simply stepping over a player. He raises his right foot off the ground to gain momentum to drive his left foot down.

Agree to disagree.

It looked to me like he was trying to keep from tripping or getting rolled up on. It isn't even conclusive that he stepped on the guy's leg from that angle. What happened to "beyond a reasonable doubt"?

Just watched this - looks to me like his right foot is under the player and he's trying not to trip and fall forward while getting pushed in the back. I didn't see any stomping. Hall isn't known for being dirty. I'm not seeing any crime here - except for the push in the back on the FTR.

Case DISMISSED.

Agree. And in order to suspend a player it should require far better evidence than that anyway. Must be all those SF fans working in the NFL offices.

First of all, I think you mean SF FAN  , second, even if he was suspended for a game, the rotation is deep enough it should be fine, get that notre dame kid some reps going into the playoffs. I can't see this resulting in a suspension. I don't think I'm being a homer here, but his foot is stuck and he's getting pushed in the back - a very awkward physical situation in which he's probably trying to avoid getting injured.
