Here's my half ass post mortem. I've been fucking off in New Mexico for a week so my shit is late.

Saw bits and pieces of the game. Have some definite thoughts. Here we go.

Really impressed with Fleury. Not only is he keeing it simple and effective for Drew - I absolutely believe he is holding a LOT back until we get into division play against the big boys. His adjustments and play calling have been wildly impressive. Same for Macdonald. Yeah, we shit the bed on the 4th and goal - reality is you need to convert that as a unit. Credit Arizona. I really like what I am seeing from him in the macro and micro.

This team looks f'n locked and loaded. No Superbowl hangover - these guys look pissed off and motivated. We really need to close the deal against the pretender franchises like the Redkins and the Clippers, er, I mean the Chargers, the f'n Clippers of the NFL and get to division play to see what we are made of. If we open 4-0, and we should, we are looking at a really great matchup vs the 9ers, a team I no longer hate, as all my hate is consumed for the fucking lambs.

Let's pump the fucking breaks on the Walker handwringing and Shaheed lamenting. Walker is gone - let KC run him into the ground - which they will. Make no mistake - LOVED Walker, zero complaints about him, but he had to go - and that is not a knock on him. It's a LONG season. Also, Price does NOT need 25 touched a game. Fleury is handling Price'sassimilation into the offense masterfully. 14 college games is NOT the same at 20 NFL games. Let him come in and get his feet wet - and let the other backs feed as well. It's genius, IMO. We need Price's BEST late in the season - not week 2 vs the fucking Cards, no disrespect intended.

Okay, maybe a little disrespect intended. After that punch in the mouth, that humiliation on Sunday, Cards are right back to pretender status.

Off topic anyone ever see worse QB play than Jamies Winston on Monday Night? Talk about a clinic in suckage - that will go down in history.

JSN doing JSN things - BUT - all of those TD's were defensible. Every. One. The contenders ain't falling for that shit.

Game ball to Drew Lock - locked and loaded (c'mon, you knew that was coming) who is making a name for himself. No, he is not gonna go be a starter and flourish, he is in the most ideal situation - but he is still Drew Lock. He's a back up. Against the contenders there are picks happening here. That's okay - he is the BACKUP and doing an incredible job. No, he is not competing for Sam's gig.

I'd like to see Sam work half the Charger game tio get in shape for the 9er game. Redskins are trash, CHargers are trash, but both games a loseable.

Now, the thing we shall not ever mention again - the streak. Yeah, it's happening, and Macdonald need to manage that and keep all the focus on the week to week. Seattle has a serious thing happening, again, one I will not mention, and the hype and attention it is about to start gainbing is going to be a bhuge distraction.

STAY FOCUSED.

I love everything I am seeing - and this team is not even at full strength. Big fucking kudos to the oline who are just punishing people - with crazy depth. Obviously the defense is doing crazy Seattle defense thibgs - to be expected - and yet, they have not reached thier ceiling. My God the possibilities.

This team is already exceeding my expectations. I said it last year - I thought this would be the SB year. There is a serious reality to that. This team could really repeat. They cannot count on everything falling thier way like last year, so exefution is everything. Lambs were not impressive last night, the Giants were an absolute joke.

I have a running joke with a friend of mine, a big Bears fan. I quantify a team by R4PT or NR4PT. Ready for Prime Time or Not Ready for Prime time.

Right now Seattle in the only team I have seen that looks truly ready for Prime Time. SF would be second. Lambs - just not buying them right
now.SHaheed will be fine. Walker is no longer a Seahawk - it is a moot fucking point.

2022 Season: 1 drop on 34 targets.

2023 Season: Only 1 drop on 75 targets (a microscopic 1.3% drop rate).

2024–2025 Seasons: He consistently hovered near the top of the league in true catch rate and route win rate

Quarterbacks have completed 157 of 251 passes for 2282 yards with 12 TDs and 11 INTs and an 89.8 passer rating when targeting RS.

Darnold was 15/26 for 188 yds with 0 TD and 1 INT for a 64.3 PR.

Lock is 4/9 for 39 yds with 0 TDS and 0 INTs for a 57.2 PR.

Maybe the Saints just knew how to use him better.

I think you are being a bit overly critical of Shaheed. He came to Seattle mid season - to a new team, new system, new QB, new OC. YOu don't just magically recreate the exact production from one team to the next - that is not how the world works and why cutting and pasting means nothing to me. Use analysis f rom your own brain. Shaheed had ONE off season with Seattle - and then Darnold promptly went down. None of these things are helping Sheheed. he also has to catch the passes he gets - that's on him. As far as "5 catches a game" being some kind of bench mark - that's pretty hard to do for any receiver. That's productivity expectant of a number one. Go look at Marvin Harrison Jr's productivity - and where he was drafted - and then complain about Shaheed - who also made monster plays in the return game we are now conveniently forgetting.

Shaheed is fine. He's not the number one, so expectations should be held accordingly. It's 2 games into the season with a back up. Let's hope his dropsies and fumblesies are done for the year. Actually, that fumble was 'by design' obviously - and executed perfectly.

Fun side note: Steeler fans officially on the "hate DK Metcalf" train and it's hilarious.

Now, as far as calling me Jerry Dipoto - the master of mediocrity, the CEO of Underwhelming Outputs, the puppep master of the worst franchise in sports - well, that's a bridge too far. That kind of cruel insult is just not called for. I have no choice but to place a thousand curses on the House of DT, starting with "may all your neighbors be 9er fans, no, wait, Lambs fans, no, wait, RAIDER fans!"
