So what is the Starting O line on Monday with Cross out?auroraave wrote: ↑Tue Oct 27, 2026 4:50 pmThis could be huge. This is fantastic pick up! So glad they did not leverage the future for an RB. Line play more essential to success than splash moves, although this is kinda splashy - but this looks like a excellent value addition. Wow. Huge, jerry, HUGE. Classic JS move.
Josh jones covers him - he has played very well replacing our tackles. Not worried. The question is where does nelson plug in? Does he replace bradford? Not sure I like that move - he has become an anchor on the right. Less in pass pro but a mauler in run game. Maybe this is kinda insurance if he leaves in free agency.D-train wrote: ↑Tue Oct 27, 2026 4:56 pmSo what is the Starting O line on Monday with Cross out?auroraave wrote: ↑Tue Oct 27, 2026 4:50 pmThis could be huge. Yeah, i assume Jone is at tackle. Interesting, I didn't think the situation really screamed guard, the line seemed to play pretty well this last week. I understood Zabel and Cross really haven't been playing that well. I really have no idea, either Zabel or Bradford to the bench. Zabel has a 60 ppf grade so far, Bradford 50 on just a handful of playsD-train wrote: ↑Tue Oct 27, 2026 4:56 pmSo what is the Starting O line on Monday with Cross out?auroraave wrote: ↑Tue Oct 27, 2026 4:50 pmThis could be huge. Seems like its going to be which tackle you want to pair Nelson with. With Jones playing it could make sense to play nelson on that side. Its an interesting problem to have. Having nelson and bradford both playing would seem like a pretty imposing run attack. And I don't think you tag team it, who gets benched stays benched• Identifying the "Mike" linebacker: Pointing out who the central defender is so the blocking scheme has a focal point.
• Calling out the defensive front: Letting the line know if the defense is stacked in an odd or even front, or shifting before the snap.
• Identifying blitz threats: Warning the guards and tackles about where an extra defender might rush from.
I don't see bradford getting benched - he's proven too valuable. The problem now is his free agency situation - someone will overpay him. He's not elite but he fits us perfectly due to time spent with the same group. The zabel to center move would be a long game play, not likely to happen mid season but anything is possible. Lambs fans melting down right now - that alone makes this move worth itDonn Beach wrote: ↑Tue Oct 27, 2026 5:33 pmI don't think you move Zabel to center in the middle of the season, its too critical a position, needs reps with the qb, as well as Sundell is responsible for identifying the the defenses they are facing.
