I think these are the possibilities for our first pick

Post by D-train » Mon Apr 10, 2023 2:15 am

1. Stroud and Young will go 1st and 2nd, the order is irrelevant to us.
2. If someone trades up to get AZs pick then all 4 QB go in the first 4 picks: We would then take Anderson
3. If not then then we would trade down
4. If we ok with Carter's baggage and he is available then we take him if not we take Wilson
5. If those two aren't available we take one of the CBs.

I think we will take a QB but not the big four and not with our first pick.

In my sims I've never traded up from 5 because i want to see how it unfolds.
of course Stroud and Young are always gone, but in 5 out of my last 10 both Richardson and Anderson are also gone.
In those cases i nearly always trade back not wanting to take Levis at 5. i think that is really the worst case scenario, but this time last year we would have jumped at it, so maybe they would just pull the trigger there, not sure.
of course the other 5 cases i jumped on whoever was left between Anderson or Richardson. In 4 cases it was Anderson who fell, only one for Richardson.

The only certain is that there will be a draft and players will be drafted. Everything else is speculation.

Option 6: Pete and John shock everybody and pick some fucker that is projected in the 3rd round.

I don't know if the CBs are worthy of the top 5. 10-15 they could make sense. They're good, but I don't think they're Sauce good.

Also would add the possibility that somebody trades up for Anderson. I still don't see us taking Wilson. He's a good player, and he seems to be skyrocketing up the boards for whatever reason, but I still think he's more the #10-15 level guy, and really doesn't make much sense for the Seahawks unless they are looking to move on from Nwosu... and even then seems too much for a #5 overall.

Can't imagine them using the fifth pick on a CB. That's a position I think they feel they are good at filling lower in the draft

If the pick is a qb, I will be elated.
If it’s Anderson, I will be happy.
If it’s Wilson, I will be ill.

If it’s carter, I will be leaving flaming bags of poop on John and Pete’s doorsteps. Big ones. And lots. 🔥

Options 4 and 5 are IF we trade down.
