Jalen Carter DT Georgia: He's the player that will have the biggest influence for a Seahawks team that is trying to build a dominant defense. Are there red flags? Sure. But how often do the Hawks get the chance to draft an elite talent like Carter? Never. And I'd hate to blow the chance.
Joey Porter JR CB Penn St: 6'2 press corner who is the most physical corner in the draft. He's your enforcer corner that the Hawks played on the right side during the LOB days. Plays more like a Browner than a Sherman, but the Hawks could use more muscle opposite Woolen.
Will McDonald EDGE Iowa St: One of the most athletic edge rushers in the draft. He's a bit on the skinny side but the length and bend is undeniable... dude has 35 inch arms. He's more of a Brian Burns type rusher than someone who is going to run through you.
Joe Tippman OC Wisconsin: Massive interior lineman who isn't limited athletically at all. It's been a long time since the Hawks had a center with the mass to anchor the interior of the line and Tippman offers that skillset. He's worked out specifically w. the Hawks OL coach.
AT Perry WR Wake Forest: It would be hard to find a more productive wideout over the last 2 years in college football. He's put up 26 TD's and 2400 yards the last 2 seasons. 6'3, runs a 4.47 w. 11'1 broad. He's physical, beats you with speed, and is excellent making contested catches.
Israel Abanikana RB Pitt: He's one of my favorite players to watch after reviewing tape. The burst and speed he has at his size is unreal. He's so, so so fast. He's also an adept power back and sheds tackles well, but his true strength comes as a homerun hitter as evident by his 20 TD's in 2022. He also put up 1400 yards in '22 which was the most in the ACC. To me, he's what the Hawks wanted in Penny.
Byron Young DT Bama: Plus run-defender who looks like a better gap-shooter on tape than given credit for. Chiseled body vs fat looking like most interior DL's are but powerful enough to anchor a line and not give ground. I think the Hawks have to add 2x IDL's this draft and they've done a pretty good job if it's Carter and Young.
SirVocea Dennis LB Pitt: Former QB and corner in high school who added bulk to become a linebacker at the college level. Plus speed and processing skills. Maybe a tad-bit undersized and could probably add a bit more bulk, but the intangibles are there to be a good one.
Anthony Bradford OG LSU: Huge, powerful IOL who will smash/finish you but has limited athletic ability and struggles with faster rushers. Hawks met with him in the draft process and this seems about the right time to address depth at guard.
Anthony Johnson Jr S Iowa St: Played corner in college but has transitioned to safety. Physical, physical, physical. Needs to add some muscle but he's got the mindset the Hawks would want when adding depth at safety.
