I think Pete and John have stuck to their narrative of taking the "highest" quality BPA's on their board, regardless of position. This team is in the middle of a rebuild. People forget that. This is Year 2. We had so many holes on this roster when we traded RW3. We have crushed the last 2 drafts in my opinion with the highest upside individual ballers with the leadership skills to build a foundational core that sets us up nicely for the future. Somebody already mentioned in here, it's sad that it's taken PCJS this long to recognize this, but they are finally doing it right. Grab the highest value of talent regardless of need on the roster. Get guys on the roster who are leaders and gritty, tough, that absolutely love the game of football. Get that Mother Fucking SWAG back that we had in 2013! The secondary is already there! The RB, and WR core look probably the best we've EVER had since PCJS has been here. We have so much depth for edge rushers which is a relief

We still have some work to do along the interior OL/DL and LB. But again, I remind you, this is year two of the rebuild. I just want guys on this roster that can BALL!! The rest will sort itself out.

We finished above .500 last season and made the playoffs. Then Maxed out the Salary Cap with significant additions and Have massive Draft capital for this draft. I don't think the expectation is still rebuilding....Maybe still rebuilding the DL but as you mentioned there aren't any black holes just a lack of depth.

Everyone has the right to look at it differently. I can tell you for a fact that PCJS would never admit that they are rebuilding, but in my eyes, it's exactly what they are doing. Nobody in that front office expected Geno Smith to perform at the level he did. And if you tell me otherwise, you're a fucking liar!!

The fact that Smith has worked out so beautifully has covered a lot of warts on this team. They are building a talented overall roster which is nice to see, but it's not a completed project. And 2 offseasons were never going to get you there. They needed at least 3 in my opinion.

I think they are turning over the roster like they did when they first came in and took over - just not to that extent - they already had some pieces in place so it is not a total purge, but there needed to be a major talent upgrade up and down the roster in order to compete at the next level and that is what they are doing - getting closer to elite. To do they they need to get younger and faster and grow together. I didn't like the day two picks - not with that center from Minnesota sitting there - but the picks the made make total sense. I wanted interior lineman on both sides - but they went differently and got very solid players. They'll probably get bodies for the interior coming up, but so far, even though it's not playing out how I would have wanted, it's hard to argue with the upgrades they are making - and an RB is an upgrade - the backfield needs major depth just out of attrition we see every year. Smart moves so far. I still was hoping for anderson or carter - any interior monster - but even though the defense may not be as formidable up front as I would hope - they are probably better than last year already - the new LOB will be fierce and likely the best in the league, and the offense is likely to be even more potent. #progress

No team is ever a completed project be we are going to be close after this draft. On a scale of 1-10 with one being a team that won 2 or less games and 10 being a team that won the SB last season I would say we are at least a 7 and maybe an 8.

Funny I am ok with the picks and you aren't. Bizzaro world. I do get it though. Another RB in the second round and another Edge to throw on the pile but if you are going to go BPA then you have to stick with that philosophy.

The thing that bothers me about the amount of high draft picks they have used on RB the past 5 years is that they have neglected building up an interior O line to block for them. I would prefer they build the line first and go with later round talent at RB than keep using 1st or 2nd rounders and then hoping they stay healthy when they have to run through more contact because the interior line can't get any push. Plus, the linemen have an important role on every snap, not just running plays. Pretty simple logic here.

He's an ankle breaker against college defenders. We'll see what it looks line in the NFL.
