Waiver claims

No Hawks claims. Them picking a CB validates my fears in the poll.

We have plenty of talented CBs. Adding another for depth says more for what was out there and available, IMO, then it does about our current CBs.

see? I TOLD YA (in the roster prediction thread) they always pick up a DB whether they need him or not. It's like a weird obsession.

Depth. If the front seven cannot stop the run I think we run a serious risk of injury to the secondary players sweeping in to make those tackles. That worries me. I believe they also picked up Eason Winston and Levi Bell, among others, and supposedly Gotel (interior dline) is also coming back on PS. No Seahawks cleared waivers - all the bodies they wanted to keep they are keeping. Also adding Joey Hunt for tight end depth. Yes, that is a joke. :)

And they all have issues:

Riq: Came back to earth the second half of the season and injured this summer
Jackson: Completely sucked ass in the preseason.
Bryant: Such a great CB they moved him to Safety
Witherspoon: Rookie that spent more time sitting out than on the field
Brown: inexperienced and injury prone

I am not worried about Riq. He was a rookie...was bound to "come back to earth" after the start to the season he had. He hasn't all of a sudden become less physically gifted or talented.
Jackson needs to "suck ass" during the season before I am too awful worried.
Bryant can play multiple positions. Not sure how that spells doom.
Witherspoon....again, preseason. Being injured is not a good thing, but I'm not ready to throw away this season. Not that long ago we were banging our chests about getting the most talented CB in the draft.
Brown - if my worry is a guy that will most likely rarely see the field? He has looked good when he played.

Again, we could pretty much type up concerns for every position. Our RBs are injury prone, we basically have two receivers with any experience, the LBs are relatively old, DL depth is thin. It goes on and on. But if Geno plays like NY Jets Geno? This team won't win. Period, end of story.

We made the playoffs last year with pretty much the worst defense in Pete's career! For once? I don't think it was a soft ass concept that was the problem. I think the players didn't adapt to the system as quickly as our staff thought they would, and I think they missed on some of the players who they believed would fit the system. That was pretty much the worst play out of a Front 7 we have seen here in a LONG LONG time. And we made the playoffs. Because the offense was pretty damn good and Pete has these guys all fired up. I don't see that changing....unless Geno goes back to old Geno.

I'm sure the addition of Kym Blu will solve most of those problems.
