It's going to be interesting to see where he plays. He was born to play the LEO. He could play SAM a position made vacant by the trade of Mingo amd drop down to end in the Nickel.

Call me crazy but I wouldn't trade him straight up for Clark right now.

I don't get this trade from Houston's point of view. I thought they needed OL, WR, and RB help. So they get back a couple pass-rushing LG/DE types? And Martin was one of our better pass-rushers so it kind of hurts the SEahawks' depth there.

getting back replacements for the guy they lose. but right, surprising they didnt pry away at least one of Jamarco Jones, David Moore, Ferguson, Jennings, McKissic, Procise, or Homer. can get some of those after cuts i guess, maybe dont like them as much as we do.

The Hawks depth is hurt? They got an ok player back. Houston needs alot of things however they had no leverage. They had a monster trade in place with Miami. Clowney refused to sign the tender. It was this or nothing.

Houston was like DiPoto trying to trade Jay Bruce or Leake. When everyone knows you have to make a trade you get to get basically nothing back and like it.

Between this trade and the Huskies and Eason's start this is easily the best Sports day of the year.

This is a good trade from both sides. Clowney is a physical freak 270# who can run 4.5. He could blossom into an defensive MVP candidate. Mingo was also a high draft pick and good not great player. The local guys had good things to say about Jacob Martin working hard and improving just like they said about Clark over the last few years. A #3 draft pick is a big piece to. Does anyone remember talks about maybe getting a 3rd or 4th rounder for Earl "best safety in NFL" Thomas.

I think it is a fair trade on both sides.
