I didn't remember him at all. However, I remember there was an Al Woods or Wood that played for the Sonics back in the mid 80's.

I saw that as well. Wow, I have no recollection of him being a Hawk whatsoever.

It's remarkable how things make such a lasting impression on a young mind. I can name more players from the 80's Sonics teams that I can from the 2000's teams. Or perhaps I had early onset dementia starting sometime in the late 90's. Or just drank too much.
