Salary cap situation

Isn't entering the off season with the 3rd worst cap situation after missing the playoffs two straight seasons a major indictment on the GM?

No mention of Dre Jones, Noah Fant and Tyler Lockett? Cutting them would put them $25 mil under. Git'r dun Johnny-boy.

Imagine if we had used Fant and Jones money on the O line instead. Guessing we would have made the playoffs at least once.

Before the emergence of AJ Barner, Fant was really the only pass catching threat in the position group. But for 2025 I am on board with cutting those bad contracts.

Yes Fant is hindsight but signing Jones to that massive deal after he had like a 60 PFF ratings was insane.

And it's a really deep TE class, so I think it's fair to assume Noah's ship has sailed.

100% is. And look at his last 6 drafts and we wonder why we are outside the playoffs.
