Farewell to Lockett

Post by douche » Wed Mar 05, 2025 9:35 pm

One of my favorites, a solid performer year after year, coming back from a severe leg injury, never missed a beat. At one point, a person could not watch football highlights without seeing yet another toe tap and/or impossible catch. Fantastic player, a playmaker and all around good guy.

See his response
. "I really enjoyed being in Seattle! I met so many great people and captured so many great memories! The 12’s really make this place meaningful! Although, my time on the Seahawks may have run its course I look forward to working with you all as I continue to do real estate in the state of Washington!

"Whether you are wanting to buy or sell your home I can help you Lock-ett In! God gets all of the glory and I’m thankful that God made Seattle a part of my journey!"

He's been mine and my families favorite player since he got here.

His comment seems like he could retire, but I think he has a few years left if he decides to stay playing.

Yes, a great Hawk. Too bad he never got to play in a SB. Ring of Honor?

Can't imagine being a RE agent when you don't have to.

I still remember how electric he used to be as a return man. One of my All Time favorite Hawks!

Yeah, he seems to enjoy it. Focusing on a second career is probably a pretty good idea terms of protecting the rewards from the first one

He has made about $130M. How much is he going to make as a RE agent. If he is great at it maybe a few hundred K a year. I just don't get it but I am not a sales guy, he must be. Obviously you need to find something to do other than golf when you retire early 30s but seems like a strange choice.

There is a higher ceiling, and what I would bet he's shooting for, that's a brokers license. You put that with what he has already achieved, name recognition, moneyed connections, some high-end sales success and he's got a boutique real estate office. Then he's leveraging the name recognition. I could see it making him some money and prestige. It's different from a restaurant or titty bar
