This is kinda interesting for me, what to do with Nwosu. Seems like a stud but on the other hand you can't justify the contract. I figured he get cut. Seems though both sides are trying to avoid that happening.
Nwosu is still attached to a three-year extension he inked with the organization in 2023. He’s set to make $14.99M in 2025, and he’s attached to an untenable $21M cap charge. Following the departures of Geno Smith and D.K. Metcalf, that number represents the highest charge on the organization’s cap sheet, and it’s the 12th-highest cap charge among NFL edge rushers.
Still, the organization has hinted that they’d like to retain the veteran. GM John Schneider confirmed last month that the two sides agreed to push back the trigger date on the contract (via ESPN’s Brady Henderson), buying them extra time to negotiate a new deal

Mike Salk is super excited that the Seahawks are front-runners to sign Cooper Cup.

Any way they can improve the trenches is good for me. Let's give our new QB time to throw.

Sounds good but why did the Vikings want to replace him?

Probably because the Vikings gave up 57 Sacks last season including their playoff game. Seahawks gave up 50.

Okay. Next question: Why would the Seahawks want him?

Because he played O Line for a playoff team, the Seahawks need an O Lineman and bloggers need something to write about. Cap 97 typed a few sentences that probably made more sense than what was written by some online blogger that read that a team that made the playoffs might be willing to part with one of their O Lineman. It's a new warm body. Hell, the blogger might be right...I mean, isn't Warm Body at the top of JS's list when looking at O Lineman?
