8 Team Playoff

I really feel that the NCAA needs to follow baseball's lead and expand the playoff for at least this season. With the leagues playing different amounts of games and non conference match ups between the power five virtually non existent, how could they possibly choose the top 4 correctly. They need to let in the 5 conference champs and 3 at large and have a real playoffs this year.

I was thinking today, if there is ever a year to not give a shit if a Pac 12 team makes it, it is this year. Sorry, there are two loss SEC teams in the mix. That is bullshit, and this system is pathetic. In a year when almost no one has played besides Conference teams, how do you just assume that one Conference has good teams and the other doesn't? Because you cast some votes in August?


Two good things could come of this. The teams in the Final Four won't belong in there and people will start demanding change. And, my favorite, maybe yet another year of failure in this Conference will force people to look at the failure that is Larry Scott.

Pac 12 teams successful in the money sport of Football and Basketball? Nope
Making big time money comparable to the other power 5s with your TV deal? Nope

Look, the softball coach in me loves that the Conference is kicking ass in woman's sports. I am not positive, but I am not sure there is another Conference as deep and good in Woman's Basketball and Softball, and they are strong in Volleyball too. But, that isn't where money is made.
