I guess I missed that. The quote I read from her sounded like she was pretty upset. I don't get not liking her. She happened to be the AD when we got to the Final 4 in football and was the one that got rid of the basketball coach that didn't make a tourney in what, ten years...only to see the team make the tourney? Hopkins was the right hire, and certainly Pete was. Getting Lake on board when we did was the right move also.

It's not that i don't like her, but i'm starting to lose some confidence that she will be able to resurrect the basketball program to even a level of consistent .mediocrity with occasional tournament aspirations. And i have no idea what to make of the football program now. I guess if she had known that Petersen was going to quit on the team after 4 years she probably doesnn't make that hire. I'm not a Lake believer either. He seems to do everything well except coach.

Yeah, I am less sold on Lake after the Utah and Stanford games than before. His stubborn insistence in believing that all defenses are better with more DBs is a very odd one. For a guy that on offense wants to pound away, don't you think he would grin ear to ear if he got to play against our defense filled fill of 185 lbers!?

I don't think we will ever be good in basketball. Think about it, we often lament the fact that the local kids leave...sorry, if I lived in that shithole called Seattle, I wouldn't stay either! There is zero tradition there...if a kid is going to stay or go out West, why would they chose rainy Seattle over a California or AZ school? Oregon would be dead too if not for Nike money.
