Okay, 1:45 to go, no time outs, and the Beavs have had no passing game tonight.

Gotta say this, the Beavs with only about 70 net passing yards tonight, that's unheard of in this day and age.

His last three passes where batted down, the last of which he threw off his own O Lineman's head. That was as bad as I've ever seen. And I watched Ronnie Fouch!DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 15, 2020 7:29 amGotta say this, the Beavs with only about 70 net passing yards tonight, that's unheard of in this day and age.

Re: Huskies vs Oregoon State game thread
I went to several Bellevue high school games a few years ago because a buddy's friend played for them. Was it me or did that game seem more like a HS game than a Big 5 college game. Hope I am wrong but Lake might rival Willingham for one of the worst era's ever. I mean Dylan Morris is the best option at QB??? Good God.

Re: Huskies vs Oregoon State game thread
So I watched the end of the first half which I missed after I went to bed at about midnight. Very Seahawkesque D by us to give up the TD to get them back in the game. Then fast forwarded the entire 3rd quarter. Stopped just in time for the insane 4th down spot that went our way. The punt we had down to their 1 yard like and the great coverage of it probably saved the game for us.
Was like watching to high school JV QBs trying to throw the football. Given we don't have non conference games that might be out only win. Will be shocked if we win the Apple Cup after watching the entire Coug's game.
I was just thinking how the mighty have fallen. Two years ago I would about to sculpt a 20 ft. statue of Jen Cohen given the state of the football and basketball teams now I think she could be on the hot seat if football season goes how I expect and the hoops team doesn't show MASSIVE improvement.

That Oregon State QB we made look so bad? Threw it all over WSU. 329 yards 1 TD and no picks.
I’m more worried about our QB than anything. He was bad. I defended him at first, I mean Bynam and Jones have GOT to catch those balls. But it was just down hill from there. He throws a very uncatchable ball.

What is wrong with Sirmon? They convince him to stay and then have him sit on the bench for Morris. So odd.Michael K. wrote: ↑Mon Nov 16, 2020 1:06 amThat Oregon State QB we made look so bad? Threw it all over WSU. 329 yards 1 TD and no picks.

Re: Huskies vs Oregoon State game thread
I am blown away by that. I joked awhile back that they didn’t announce a starter because they didn’t want him to transfer. If I was him, after last night? I’m gone. It’s one thing to not be able to unseat Browning, and then lose out to cannon arm Eason. But what I saw last night? And then Lake praises him by basically saying he won the job because he made the least mistakes, and that he didn’t make mistakes last night. I guess throwing like five balls off the facemask of the pass rusher isn’t considered a mistake.
Re: Huskies vs Oregoon State game thread
admittedly i was surprised and disappointed to see Morris out there to start. but i disagree with the critique, thought he had a decent (not great) debut. threw a catchable ball, several were just dropped. sure the playcalling protected him, and that will have to open up eventually, but the ball protection and general command were pretty sharp for his first ever action, in bad weather no less. also like the ground and pound game plan to break him in gently, and Michael i'm sure appreciated seeing only one wildcat and no bubble screens.
other thoughts: our secondary is as good and deep as its been since Jones, King and Budda all patrolled the same backfield. the length of Asa Turner at Safety is unreal and watching ZTF rush the passer makes me forget all about Joe Tryon. we may have finally found an inside backer in Ulafoshio. sure could have used Tuli last night the way they ran every down - anyone know why he was out?
an oh yeah - Cade Otton played like the stud he is, and true frosh Redmon got some action too. the Dissly/Sample TE lineage continues.

Re: Huskies vs Oregoon State game thread
You could be right, the conditions were certainly bad. What I meant by a ball that wasn’t catchable was he appeared to have zero touch, all fastball. And drilling D Lineman in the face is discouraging!
