What a bonus it would be if we picked up a solid DL or ILB via the portal.

Re: 2021 UW recruiting class
Apparently two 3-star UW recruits in 2022 class from Nevada de-committed last week after getting offers from Oregon, USC, etc. One is a LB/TE prospect and the other a DT. Not good.

I guess Lake needs to up his Charisma game along with his run defense game.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Sat Mar 06, 2021 4:02 amApparently two 3-star UW recruits in 2022 class from Nevada de-committed last week after getting offers from Oregon, USC, etc. One is a LB/TE prospect and the other a DT. Re: 2021 UW recruiting class
If I was a LB or DT I doubt I’d want to come here and compete for one of three or four starting spots in Jimmy’s 7 and 8 DB defense!D-train wrote: ↑Sat Mar 06, 2021 12:08 pmI guess Lake needs to up his Charisma game along with his run defense game.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Sat Mar 06, 2021 4:02 amApparently two 3-star UW recruits in 2022 class from Nevada de-committed last week after getting offers from Oregon, USC, etc. One is a LB/TE prospect and the other a DT. Jimmy Lake may be an above average coach, but he's a total failure as a recruiter

Re: 2021 UW recruiting class
They promoted Justin Glenn to director of recruiting... apparently he was up over his skis and the program hasn't done well recruiting partly as a result.
They weren't going to get Emeka after the offense they displayed in 2020... that was pretty much guaranteed. But missing out on Julien Simon and JTT is what has killed this class.
Washington also didn't get a single 4 star recruit from the state of California. They got 5 in 2020, 5 in 2019, 4 in 2018, 4 in 2017, 3 in 2016, 2 in 2015... there's your difference. We had been doing well poaching USC's territory... they used to never lose anyone, but they're recovering... Oregon also has had a consistent footprint down there that they have regained after being down for a couple years.
