You just made my point. They didn’t commit. We have spent days, and you finally said what I have been saying, didn’t and wouldn’t commit. Because they made a demand that wasn’t possible to meet, so they could pretend their bullshit anyone, anytime and anywhere wasn’t just that...bullshit. They had until Wednesday...instead they made an impossible demand in Monday. I wonder why? I imagine the first three quarters against AZ might be why...or the second half from last night, or the last two years....or all three.Juliooooo wrote: ↑Sun Nov 29, 2020 4:16 amAnd BYU has no reason to commit to a game that isn't likely to happen. Simple as that.Michael K. wrote: ↑Sun Nov 29, 2020 2:39 amThe Pac 12 has said they have until Thursday to make sure their Conference teams are taken care of first. So, no, Washington can never make give the promise BYU was demanding.

far be it from me to take the BYU side, especially after 1984, but have to think the presumption of innocence principle applies here. sure you can be skeptical about their competition, and their odds of winning against the current Pac12 North leader, but what real evidence do you have of them ducking? btw, it's the Pac12 farce of a big 5 conference that is the real one to blame here, imho.

The fact that they claimed they would play, even though they immediately demanded a promise from Washington that the Conference would not allow them to make.
Not sure how many more times or different ways I can say it. Everyone in college football knows that the Pac 12 has only allowed non Conference games to be played if no Conference opponent can be found by Thursday. BYU is aware of that, and made this demand long before Thursday. Guaranteeing the game couldn't be played.

I get it BYU didn't commit to a game that was never going to happen. They wanted to play, they would have played, p12 had other plans. The End.

The Coastal Carolina coach was fired up. Kind of funny...he has a little DK in him I think. Kept screaming into the camera “all week they said we couldn’t do it”...first, who is “they”? Seems most thought it would be a tight game. And, all week? Didn’t the game get scheduled on Thursday?

A week isn't just 2 days?Michael K. wrote: ↑Sun Dec 06, 2020 3:27 pmThe Coastal Carolina coach was fired up. Kind of funny...he has a little DK in him I think. Props to them. They were fired up. BYU came out flat on offense and the coach called a horrible game. Why run 2 trick plays on the same set of downs when you are getting 8 yards a carry? Going up against the triple option with 2 days to prep is not ideal, but the BYU DC could not make the adjustments to so them. CCU is a tough team, and played a nearly flawless game. They had 3 5+ minute drives to keep the ball out of Wilson's hands, and they have a few pretty good passrushers as well.
While the game was super frustrating as a BYU fan, BYU is still a good team. CCU was amped up, and are a good team in their own right. BYU was just out coached and came up just short.

Sounds like we all had terrible football weekends. At least your Broncos didn't lose to a vastly inferior opponent with a QB that wouldn't even make the top 5,000 best QBs in NFL history.Juliooooo wrote: ↑Mon Dec 07, 2020 1:08 pmA week isn't just 2 days?Michael K. wrote: ↑Sun Dec 06, 2020 3:27 pmThe Coastal Carolina coach was fired up. Yeah, that was bad. Broncos actually held the best QB in the NFL to just 22 points, and did that while missing their best Passrusher (von Miller) best interior DL (5 time pro bowler Jurrell Casey) and best CB (Bryce Callahan who has been a top 5 PFF CB this year). Fangio really is a defensive genius, but he'll only go as far as his QB and OC can take him. Thats the difficulty of being a defensive headcoach in the NFL. If you get a good QB, you are set (Belichek and Carrol) otherwise you don't have a chance to do anything long term, because a good OC will last 2-3 years at best before getting a HC gig.D-train wrote: ↑Mon Dec 07, 2020 2:12 pmSounds like we all had terrible football weekends. The problems on offense in Denver, IMO, are Elway. That being said, they now have weapons...and it is still too early to give up on Lock, right?
