This 14-point deficit feels insurmountable. This Morris kid doesn't strike one as the kind of QB who can rally a team.
oops, that didnt age well. not that i (or anyone else) felt different at halftime.

some random post-mortem thoughts:
1. ZTF is the best Husky pass rusher maybe ever, but at least in at least the last half-century (sorry that's as far back as i go). apologies to Mr. Emtman, but i said specifically pass rusher, not best player.
2. Kirk Morrison called it right - Elijah Molden is Honey Badger 2.0
3. Cade Otton > Dissly > Sample. He has really earned some money these last two games boosting his draft stock.
4. as bad as Morris is with the deep ball, he is pretty good in the short and intermediate game. looking forward to Sam coming in to master both. as are the talented young receivers too I'm sure.
5. had thought the Utes would take a step back this year with the heavy personnel losses, and maybe they have, but they are a well run program and well coached - always playing physical, tackling well, and a tough out.
6. OL playing well for a unit replacing several starters. providing a nice bridge to, and giving time to develop for the celebrated OL class of 19. as opposed to years past when Nick Harris and Trey Adams came in to start as true freshmen.

it seems likely that when the college foitball season finally ends there won't be a CRAP 12 team in the top 20. Soon all the top west coast high school talent will be playing in the SEC or at Ohio St, Clemson, Notre Dame, etc.. Death of a conference.

Pretty simple. Morris had better get the deep throw worked out or we will be looking at nine in the box forever

You mean all the top players like Egbuka, Tuimalao, and Simon? yeah, pretty tough to argue with all that evidence right in front of us. at least we had the Huard family connection or i'm sure we would have lost him too.

I missed the game and just saw the score this morning. I know people would be freakin in the first half. I sure as well would have. So it was great seeing the tone of the posts go from hopeless to sigh of relief in two pages. lol

Yeah, the top QB recruit out of Cali last year (Uiagalelei) is now at Clemson. If it weren't for the Hawaii connection, UW would be hurting right now.

Wilner on the Pac 12 season basically being over with zero chance at a Playoff birth with two games and the P12 title game still to be played.
1. MIA for the CFP (again)
The Pac-12 emerged from the initial College Football Playoff rankings on Tuesday with an extraordinarily narrow path into the semifinals.

The conference required a dominant finish by either No. 15 Oregon or No. 18 USC and massive help in the form of losses elsewhere to simply join the playoff conversation in the final weeks of the season.

Then came the double-whammy, first with USC’s cancellation on Thursday and then with Oregon’s loss on Friday.

The Trojans can’t do better than 6-0 and won’t face a ranked opponent until at least the championship game — they aren’t getting in and probably won’t come close.

And after their come-from-ahead loss in Corvallis, the Ducks are toast.

Meanwhile, the other undefeated teams, Washington and Colorado, are unranked by the CFP selection committee and lack the rocket fuel on their upcoming schedules to climb into the top 10.

All hope is gone.

The Pac-12 will miss the playoff for the fourth consecutive season and, equally damaging from a PR standpoint, it won’t even be in the stretch-run conversation for the second time in three years.

As far as the playoff trappings are concerned … the ESPN and Fox studio show banter … the social media debates … the recruiting benefits … the Pac-12 is no different than Conference USA.

It’s a non-entity.

That’s not entirely a surprise. The CFP became a long shot the moment the university presidents pushed the restart back to Nov. 7.

But to be eliminated from the conversation before Dec. 1 — with three weeks remaining — is unquestionably a blow.

F-ing joke. Pac 12 network as the score to the game tonight backwards! Says Huskies up 23-5 over Baylor when it is the opposite!

https://pac-12.com/home

I know they are incompetent but this seems like an epic f up even for them.
