The problems on offense in Denver, IMO, are Elway. That being said, they now have weapons...and it is still too early to give up on Lock, right?
The problem is, they haven't stuck with anything. They have gone through an OC a year. They have had trouble getting an OL together. They suck this year, but I think they have the right guys for the most part, and they have possibly the best OL coach in the NFL in Munchak. I think they will get better next year. They have the weapons, but they are all young. They have 2 rookies at WR and a 2nd year TE. Their "veterans" are a 3rd or 4th year WR that was an UDFA and Nick Vannett (I think you Seahawks fans know about him). Their OC is also stuck 15 years in the past. They have about 1.5 screens per game, lowest in the NFL. 2nd lowest team in the NFL has nearly twice as many. Drew Lock is leading the league in Intended air yards by a large margin, so while he has a low completion percentage, I think thats a factor of not getting the easy completions other QB's do as much as it is inaccuracy.

As Far as Drew Lock, its too early to give up on him imo, but a lot of fans have long given up on him. He makes some really bad decisions, but he has the arm strength, and I think he has the work ethic and attitude. He hasn't had the same OC 2 years in a row since he was a Sophomore in college, so he hasn't been given the best chance of success. If they continue to lose, they may be in position to get Zach WIlson or Trey Lance. It would be interesting to see what they do in that scenario since Fangio and Elway probably both need a winning season to keep their jobs, and a rookie QB certainly doesn't help much with that. I think the right move is to get a backup like Dalton, Fitzpatrick, Winston, Alex Smith (if he gets cut) that can take over if he doesn't show improvement next year, but that might all depend on how he looks in the next 4 games.

As far as Elway, he's been good in the draft the last 3-4 years, and he's good at FA on defense. They just have a lot of poor injury luck with FA, and bad luck in general this year. He has been too busy trying to find an Average QB (Lynch, Keenum, Flacco) so they could keep winning and never truly invested in finding a young QB and truly invested in him until this year with Lock. He's also done horrible at finding, drafting and developing OL, but I think thats going to improve with Munchak as the OL coach.
