What the Hell, there was basketball?

I know it was an exibition, and I know that we have had early success similar to this in the past, but...I guess this is some good news for a bunch of us that haven't had much of that since late Friday!?
Washington men’s basketball team emerged from Sunday’s much-anticipated exhibition against UNLV looking every bit like an upgrade from last season.
If first impressions can be trusted, Steinbach is possibly a budding star who won’t be around Montlake for too long.

Nearly everything came with ease for the 6-foot-11 forward who many believe will be a first-round pick in next year’s NBA draft. He converted 10 of 15 shots for 22 points and collected 16 rebounds — both game highs — in 35 minutes.
In his first UW outing, Mandaquit made the game fun for several Huskies who were the recipient of his 12 assists. If this were an official game, he would have tied for the 11th most assists in a single game in Husky history.

“It’s amazing playing with him,” Steinbach said. “He’s a true point guard. He plays like he’s played in college for some years. It’s very good to play with him. It just makes my job so much easier.”

They actually have votes in both the AP and Coaches poll.

Team has a lot of talent. They transferred in 6x 4-star transfers, including former 5-star Bryson Tucker and 2x leading players for USC last year. Unfortunetly they also have a lot of guys injured right now.

They also just got another commitment from a Serbian big man named Nikola Dzepina who will be eligible to play in December.

This kid is out for 3 months: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mATIQXyNsiI big bummer cause he's solid AF.

So you guys are saying there's a chance the UW basketball team could finish in the top 17 of the B1G this year?
