Good news for Husky Men's BB

Post by IStillLoveTheMs » Wed Nov 18, 2020 9:08 pm

Cole Bajema and Erik Stevenson were granted waivers to play right away for the Dawgs after transferring.

Stevenson is a former 3-star guard from Lacey, WA who went to Wichita St despite a late offer from Hop at UW. I really liked Stevenson in HS... he set the WIAA 3A Tournament scoring record while at Timberline HS. I was sort of surprised he didn't put up better numbers at Wichita (6.7 then 11.1 PPG) because he was such a prolific scorer in HS... That said, he played in 37 games his freshman year, then 31 his sophomore year... so he's got a ton of experience and really softens the blow if Naz can't play.

Bajema is a former 4-star small forward from Lynden, WA who went to Michigan despite, again, a late offer from Hop at UW. Bajema had family ties at Michigan which influenced his decision to leave the state. He played sparingly in 10 games for the Wolverines. He's got a freakin' super soaker from 3... he's also got plus handles and his 6'7 height helps him create his shot versus being just a catch and shoot guy.

Thanks for the update bud. Do you think there is going to be a season? I am curious if the Governor's in WA, OR and CA are going to let indoor sports happen.

Idk... I sure hope so. It's the only basketball I care to watch these days.

I don't know why it's so hard for these universities to just separate the athletes from the general public for 3-4 months... fk... go rent them a big ass house somewhere with a gym... they do their homework... eat... and practice basketball. You charter them a bus to the airport... they don't leave your site on the trip, stay in the hotel. Why is this so hard?

Everything in this Nation right now is harder than it should be. It's because reasonable people aren't the ones making decisions. People with other motives are.

And people still want the government to be in charge of doling out healthcare. Its f-ing mind boggling.

I read that Cole was slow and not very athletic compared to the rest of the team at Michigan. I hope that’s not the case abd that his shot comes back.

Good thing for the Dawgs their matchup with Gonzaga got cancelled. not only do the Bulldogs own the matchup, but now ranked #1 overall, and maybe their best team yet. not a bad start whipping #6 Kansas yesterday.

Looks like number 2 Baylor gets another crack at us this season. LOL I cannot believe we beat them last year and then how the seasons for both teams diverged.

seriously, who saw last year's meltdown coming, particularly after opening the season that way? the slide started beforehand, but sure accelerated to overdrive when Quade got disqualified and we were down to Hardy and the Freshman Tsohonis at point.

The thin man needs to beef up his meaner, rougher side and perhaps find the Oliver Hardy to his Stanley Laurel.
