It's sunny and 78°F at Desert Financial Arena in Tempe where the Sun Devils welcome the Huskies for tip-off at 6 P.M.

Washington is 5-17 overall, 4-13 (11th) in the Pac-12 while Arizona State is 7-11, 4-8 (10th) in Pac-12. In other words, both teams suck.

Go Huskies, I guess. Don't get singed. Avoid their sharp, pokey thing. Ball, bite, snarl and win.

Amazing game. At the half, Sun Devils are up by 20, 49-29.
Three minutes, forty seconds earlier it was 37-28, thereafter the Dawgs were outscored 12-1 to close out the half.

ASU is 53.1% from the field, 73.3% from the free throw line. UW shooting very poorly, 32.4% and 42.9%.

Bey has 12 and Tsohonis has 6 to lead Washington.

Why do I pay attention?

Iowa State Cyclones are terrible, just like the Huskies.
The NCAA's #2, Baylor Bears are great, the only unbeaten team in the country besides Gonzaga.

With 4 minutes left in the game, they were tied at 65 apiece.
Baylor went on to win 77-72 but the Cyclones appear to have heart. What an effort.

IS Cyclones: 2-17 overall, 0-14 in conference.
Baylor Bears: 18-0 and 10-0.

Oh lordy lordy, blood in the water.

ASU comes out smokin' in the second half, 16-2. Now up by 33.

Huskies = Quitters

Once it became apparent how bad they were, they should have just devoted the entire season to flagrant fouling, at least ten per game. This way once they recruit better players (well, if they do) they'll have the rest of the league so intimidated that they'll be ripe for the picking. Seriously, SHOULD HAVE DONE IT.

Just pitiful. Hopkins should be forced to wear a grocery bag over his head during games.

And they get to stay in the desert and play two more!

Since they last won a meaningful game in the first round of the Tourney almost two years ago the Huskies have won 9 games. 9 wins in two f-ing years.
