UW Football Game 1, verses Montana.

Any predictions!

I think that Montana is a pretty good ball club. They did well last year and returned quite a few starters. Will they 'show' against UW? I DON'T THINK SO!!

Offensively, UW will be very vanilla. They want to open up the playbook somewhat minimally, and save most of for UM next week. That isn't saying we won't score. I think we run, run, run the ball.

With the second string QB dinged up, here's hoping we get to see Huard. If he is in fact third string, with the new Red Shirt rules? No reason not to play him in blowouts against the Montana's of the world.

I was about to start the game thread, good for Walla Walla to take us to 1-0 against the Frizzlies.

So Sam Huard is the #1 high school QB in the nation and we're starting a scrub. Okay then.

Fresno is led by the great Jake Haener, aka Rudy as i dubbed him during his competition with Eason for the starting job. If the Ducks' plan was to sneak up on Ohio State next week, they are executing to perfection!

Actually i read where Sam has now been listed as "Co #2" with the other guy on the depth chart now. Apparently he has really been coming on in practice, showing marked improvement from spring (as might be expected). Not sure what "co" means when it comes right down to it, but would have to guess that he wins most tiebreakers.

also found interesting that even with all the talented depth at DB, some walk-on i never heard of (Michael Powell) made 2nd string at corner. not gonna steal any reps from McDuffie or Gordon, but still impressive.

Lackluster start for the P12. Stanford lost, USC and Oregon sneaking sneaked by San Jose and Fresno St.
