Last night the boys lost 4-3 to the Blackheads and two of those goals Grubauer just flat-out missed.
For the third straight season Gru's save percentage is well under .900 after being a career .920 guy. 30 percentage points (which is about how far he's dropped) is roughly one goal per game, which is a huge difference between winning and losing. The best goalies in the league are generally in the .920s. Gru this season at .885 is 46th best.
He's been terrible since we got him, and that's not going to change. His big contract is sunken cost and the team needs to trade him and eat a big part of his salary.
Daccord isn't much better, but at least he's better. Gru is whiffing the season away.
Grubauer
Re: Grubauer
Grubauer has never been good, even if we consider his days with the Avalanche. Colorado had an A+++ defense in front of him, and didn't require him to do very much.
He's flat out terrible, and I've been calling for them to ship him almost since Day 1.

I'm thinking that too, his Gravelanche defenses must have limited the A+ opportunities, although the advanced metrics that account for defense still say Gru sucks.

Kraken are now 5-12-9 or 8-18 depending on whether you count OT games as ties or not.
