IMO, there is a difference in "rejoicing" and believing someone is getting what is coming to them. Karma works both ways. I am supposed to worry about "Karma gonna get me" because I don't feel bad that these assholes got hit by Karma? Nope.
Running the Sonics out of Seattle was one thing, but then jabbing at the city many times after...and after relocating one franchise, to focus on "history" to keep another is bad enough. But, when the other city was actually going to move to the city you robbed? He is an assclown. The world is better off.
MJ was sorry for his family's loss and credits him with building the brand globally. Fine...but making something big out of that statement is odd. Looks like it was written for him. I promise you there aren't many people that actually understand the game of basketball that think he did anything for the actual game of basketball.
Not to mention, acting like a smart business man would move a franchise from Seattle to OKC is stupid. He was a vindictive prick...that is why the franchise moved. That, in no way shape or form, made the NBA better.

Re: Stern suffers brain hemorrhage
I was referring to the news that Clay Bennett has brain cancer being posted with a smiley face, and i wasn't being serious about karma, we all have to die of something. But the talk of dying of brain cancers and brain hemorrhages makes me a bit nervous, maybe because i am older. I am beginning to respect death. You guys are probably still planning to live forever
Re: Stern suffers brain hemorrhage
After the past year I am right there with you. I was hopeful that 2020 would be a fresh start but of course I get the flu on New Year's eve. lolDonn Beach wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2020 3:38 pmI was referring to the news that Clay Bennett has brain cancer being posted with a smiley face, and i wasn't being serious about karma, we all have to die of something. Get your vomit bags ready...
Thunder chairman Clay Bennett issued the following statement on Stern's passing.
"Beyond his creative brilliance and forceful leadership, David was a dear friend and trusted advisor to me over the course of more than two decades," Bennett wrote. "Our business relationship took us through multiple and sometimes challenging issues together as well as great triumphs. Through it all, David led with strength, fairness and a keen sense of doing what was right for our franchises, our players and our fans. He leaves an enormous legacy and we will forever benefit from his influence.
"On behalf of the entire Thunder organization, we send our deepest condolences to Dianne and the Stern family."

Re: Stern suffers brain hemorrhage
Well said, Michael. I didn't wish brain cancer for Clay Clay but I'm also not sorry he's suffering from it either. I'd rather have his team struggle than to see him go through that. As for that senile old fart favoring OKC over Seattle, it's clear he wasn't thinking from a business standpoint. This was strictly personal to him and thus, he wanted to make Seattle pay for not bowing down to him.Michael K. wrote: ↑Fri Jan 03, 2020 2:23 pmIMO, there is a difference in "rejoicing" and believing someone is getting what is coming to them.
