OKC/Lakers

Westbrook just went from the Thunder to Houston in return for Chris Paul and 2 1st round picks.

I have not been a NBA fan after the Sonics. I have no idea about trade rules>?

But couldn't the Lakers make a play for CP3 based on salary relief or is there luxury tax issues or other rules?

Probably not, according to Danny O'Neil (his response to Rob K): https://twitter.com/dannyoneil/status/1 ... 2799015936

We all knew this was coming but that doesn't make the schadenfreude any less wonderful! Especially this: https://twitter.com/darrenrovell/status ... 5680427009

So do I ;)

The question is -are there enough basketballs to go around with Westbrook and Harden on the same team? Wow-no one else will ever get a shot. I don't know how many games they will win, but the scores will be astronomical.

Does anyone expect these two to be better together than they were in OKC when they also had Durant? This one perplexes me. I thought the issue with CP 3 and Harden was they both needed to dominate he ball? That changes with Westbrook? WTF?

I would not expect Paul to last in OKC - Presti will likely try to move him (and his salary) for more picks and cap relief. Houston way overpaid here, makes no sense, except clearly Harden and Paul aren't BFF's. Neither team is better from this, but OKC completely fleeced Houston in this deal. Jesus.

It's a wim/wim :P :P :P

Fk OKC. They got everything but the title. They got a loaded roster without suffering through the rebuild 1 sub par season and then a steady diet of playoffs. I hope all those draft picks are just enough to alternate between 8 seed and 1 team outside looking in forever. :P

You know, the Zombie Sonic fans never had to pay ANY dues. At all. One losing season with Durant and Westbrook, and since then all roses. They were handed about the biggest gift ever and they couldn't do their part, whereas if they stayed in Seattle I think we push them to the title.

What is worse is that they gutted the team in Seattle for two reasons. One, to stock pile draft picks and two....to irritate the local fans and then be able to complain about how they weren't supported. Stern, Schultz and Bennett should all three have to stand at the 50 yard line and let EA Sports film Bobby Wagner tackling them to support their theory that he is the highest rated "hit power" LB in Madden Football! Over and over again. I would buy a ticket.
