I started think about this in response to a tweet about most hated guys on your fav teams and the list of terrible Sonics centers is just beyond belief.

For Fuck's Sake, check the last decade of 1st round picks. Wally Walker has to be the worst GM in NBA history. Stupid fuck.

1998 - Vladimir Stepania from Slovenia
1999 - Corey Maggette - Actually a good pick who they trade for shit.
June 30, 1999: Traded by the Seattle SuperSonics with Dale Ellis, Don MacLean and Billy Owens to the Orlando Magic for Horace Grant, a 2000 2nd round draft pick (Olumide Oyedeji was later selected) and a 2001 2nd round draft pick (Bobby Simmons was later selected).
2000 - Desmond Mason - Mediocre guy who is the crown jewel of the decade. :|
2001 - Vlad Radmonivich - because one Vladimir in the first round wasn't enough.
2002 - Peter Fehse - Who in the actual Fuck???
2003 - Nick Collison - To appease the fan base that like to watch white guys score 8 points a game and pound the boards.
2004 - Robert Swift - First of the three 7 foot stiffs with zero basketball skills
2005 - Johan Petro from France - Because Wally couldn't find any more 7 foot stiffs in this country
2006 - Mohammed Sene from freaking Senegal - Because Wally couldn't find any more 7 foot stiffs in civilized countries.
2007 - Durant - Finally pick an absolute SUPER STAR and then leave town. F you Wally.

Man, fifteen rounds back in the '60s, and that stretched well into the '70s because not too long ago I was watching a Sonics/Warriors playoff game from '76 and Brent Musburger mentioned that the Sonics had six rookies on their roster.

And even back in the old days with high draft choices the organization did shitty drafting. All those high draft choices and the only All-Stars were Freddie Brown, Jack Sikma, Xavier McDaniel, Gary Payton and Kevin Durant.

Oh, and...Scottie Pippen.

I don't remember that one either, but he was a late 2nd round pick.

Never played in the NBA. Says here they were "RELIEVED" not have a first round pick.   The M's have had terrible FOs more often than the Hawks or Sonics but they sure don't have a monopoly ion them.

Good one! Did Pippen turn out to be a pretty good player? :( :( :( I imagine the Finals vs. the Bulls might have gone differently if he was on our team.
