Eichel was their best player but he has not played this year and probably won't play until March or April. So that trade basically has nothing to do with this group of Sabres.

Yeah, I didn't know that until I saw it in the pregame, odd how a player gets traded because of a choice of surgery, that's one I've never seen before.

So how about that ass-whipping tonight? Hard to believe it was actually 2-1 Buffalo briefly. It felt like we should have been closer to ten goals than five. And a hat trick for Eberle!

38 to 21 shots on goal advantage for Seattle even though Buffalo won 34 of 58 faceoffs.

I just watched the 9 minute highlight vid. Good stuff. Check the Sabre fall on his face trying to knock the puck out of the net after the last goal at the 8:25 mark.

So hilarious looking at the crowd. Half with masks and half not like the Sneeches and Star bellied Sneeches. Both thinking the other group is insane. lol
