Kraken vs Boston Ruins game thread
This had to be about the most Krakenish loss this season. Grubauer plays probably his best game of the season, but in the first period Lauzon while trying to clear the puck inexplicably knocks one over Grubauer and into the goal, and then after a spectacular game Grubauer gives up a goal that is virtually impossible to give up.
I mean, you have to see it to believe it. The shooter has a horrible angle, Grubauer has that side completely covered, and for reason he stuck his arm out and let the puck fly through that small gap. You can't make this shit up.

They seem like a team that lacks confidence and finds ways to lose. Although there is a dearth of talent (exacerbated by injuries) on the roster, i think this reflects on the coaching more than anything else.

This season is why I laugh at all the people longingly clutching pearls and yearning for the Sonics to make their triumphant return. (btw Don't you have to be somewhere to return??? Where are they???) When it finally happens they will all rejoice expecting Gary, Kemp, Ray Allen, Sikma and Gus Williams in their prime in the starting lineup opening night.
Then about Feb 25th when the team with a roster of nobodies, punks, one and doners and Eastern Europeans are 17-43 playing the shit brand of hoops that the NBA currently plays will wonder wtf they got all excited about.

My first instinct was "THAT many wins"? Except that the way the game is played now with everyone launching threes, there are a lot of games where bad teams get hot out there while good teams go cold and the bad teams end up beating or even blowing out the good teams. In fact, there are a lot more blowouts now than there used to be due to the barrage of threes that get chucked up there.D-train wrote: ↑Fri Feb 25, 2022 5:35 pmThis season is why I laugh at all the people longingly clutching pearls and yearning for the Sonics to make their triumphant return. Did you see the vid of Curry making 100 threes in a row in practice. Insane.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Fri Feb 25, 2022 8:04 pmMy first instinct was "THAT many wins"? I'll have to go watch. And here I hit 8 out of 12 college threes at Knott's Berry Farm a couple months ago and pranced around like I was Billy The Kid. Served me right that the available prizes were things I didn't want (like a LeBron jersey). I ended up picking a little Golden State Warriors ball and gave it to the yung'uns as the workers shook their heads LOL.D-train wrote: ↑Fri Feb 25, 2022 10:18 pmDid you see the vid of Curry making 100 threes in a row in practice. Hakstol had three lackluster years in Philly and when the Kraken hired him their fans were all over social media laughing at us. Of course, after the expansion draft fans of every team were laughing at us.Sibelius Hindemith wrote: ↑Fri Feb 25, 2022 3:31 pmThey seem like a team that lacks confidence and finds ways to lose. It makes me sad, because the NBA really had something special going but by the turn of the century the impact of over a decade of the marketing industry glorifying hip-hop gangster rap values to the impressionable minds of young people throughout the nation resulted in the culture of selfish play and disdain for the (mostly white) fans.D-train wrote: ↑Fri Feb 25, 2022 5:35 pmThis season is why I laugh at all the people longingly clutching pearls and yearning for the Sonics to make their triumphant return.
