About to get down to business at the Key!: https://twitter.com/NHLSeattle_/status/ ... 3136615424

Is it just me, or are we going to be the only city in the world that has an arena that is subterranean? And it's all because of keeping the damn roof and windows.

Mind boggling that it is going to cost almost $1B. Guessing it won't be anything special especially relative to what Hansen proposed.

The SCC begs to differ. They made the Key's roof a historical landmark for god's sake.

They may think they'll have the best arena in the country when it's all said and done, but again, it won't mean a damn thing if they don't get the Sonics back.

Renovated Key + No Sonics = FAILURE

The went to the Seattle Art museum a couple years ago and one of the exhibits was just a blank white canvas masquerading as Art. I actually like it more than the Key's Roof.

Speaking of lover of that roof, I wonder if Don Gorgon will ever grace us with his presence. lol

Yeah, where is Don? I always enjoy what he has to say, even if I didn't always agree with him.

By the way, I guess we'll find out the name of Seattle's NHL team in a couple of months: https://twitter.com/ChrisDaniels5/statu ... 9726500864

I wonder if the font used in "Seattle" will be used for the name and logo.

Exactly, I knew it was too good to be true when everyone thought they'd unveil the name this spring.

By the way, interesting comments from Silver: https://twitter.com/RobTheHockeyGuy/sta ... 8833399811

Yep, just like it'd be nice to have a team in Seattle? Same ol' lip service from the commish.

OVG is "committed" to bringing the NBA back to Seattle!: https://twitter.com/ChrisDaniels5/statu ... 8744442880, https://twitter.com/ChrisDaniels5/statu ... 3729130496

Seattle's AHL team to be in either Palm Springs or Boise: https://twitter.com/ChrisDaniels5/statu ... 9173520385

The only knock on Palm Springs is they don't have an arena but are in the process of potentially building one. Gee, that sounds awfully familiar, doesn't it? And had they had a sweetheart deal like the one Chris offered Seattle, they'd jump on that in a heartbeat.
