"Mostly Peaceful Protests" pt 2
"Mostly Peaceful Protests" pt 2
The usual suspects are at it again - urging violence and sowing discontent here in SoCal - and as the news captures burning cars and now looting of businesses - we're getting the 'mostly peaceful "protests' nonsense again. Always in Dem run cities are they encouraged to burn it down. Watching Karen Bass and Gruesome bumble their way through this on the heels of the Palisades fires disaster is just priceless - even more priceless is people defending these absolutely moronic cliche-spewing clowns and the rioters. Looking forward to another tax increase to cover the messes.
Wash, rinse repeat.
Wash, rinse repeat.

I don't understand how anyone can justify this. My property taxes just increased yet again so I am going to set fire to my neighborhood and call it a peaceful protest. I wonder if that will work?
Re: "Mostly Peaceful Protests" pt 2
King COunty property taxes went up as a direct result of the 'chazz' summer of love and the george floyd riots in Seattle. My friends brother is a big lawyer in DC - says the lawsuits against the city - and there are a lot - from that are huge and that Seattle will have to settle all of them because tehy can't win them. The mayor is a defendant in them - that's why she didn't run again. imagine all that tax money out the door from that, from the messes they had to clean up, and then factor in ALL the tax money no longer coming in because all those businesses closed and left seattle - all that money just gone - through negligence, arrogance and insane levels of mismanagement. And the best part is there are rumors Derek Chauvin is going to be pardoned and released. It was all a giant sham. But of course, anyone with half a brain already knew this and saw all of this coming. This is that all over again. How stupid do you have to be to not see the patterns here? And then remember - it is ALWAYS in DEM cities and states.Michael K. wrote: ↑Tue Jun 10, 2025 3:03 pmI don't understand how anyone can justify this. You're trespassing - the authorities are trespassing you according to the law - and you burn shit down because YOU are breaking the law - so you break MORE laws - and CNN, Bass and Newsome say you're the victim while you are committing numerous crimes. Democratic logic for you in a nutshell.

Imagine if they spent their time trying to do the right thing - instead of spending their time always trying to convince you that wrong is right.

I can't wait for the next 5-7 years....
I will partially retire and, sale my property and move to AZ.
Fuck this state!! They are already taxing everyone to death and our dear governor is trying to figure out how to tax UNrealized capital gains.

And Pramila Jayapal is out there saying it's all ICE and Trump's fault. Why is it that the people that brought you Baghdad Jim McDermott continually vote for idiots like Jayapal?

I've got zero tolerance for violence and property damage of this sort. And just about zero tolerance of anyone who defends it. (I guess I'm kind of an Old Testament guy in this respect.)
I'm hoping the presence of the National Guard and the Marines will prevent further violence, and hopefully facilitate capturing and prosecuting those responsible.
At the same time I take strong exception to calling Los Angeles "a city of criminals" as Kristy Noem did:

The vast majority of the LA residents are law abiding, just like anywhere else. This demonizing of "the other side" really sickens me.

Nothing like a proclaimed Christian making moral judgements about people when she murdered a dog she didn't like in cold blood.gil wrote: ↑Tue Jun 10, 2025 6:32 pmI've got zero tolerance for violence and property damage of this sort. I'd love to see Noem in front of microphones and have some reporter ask her about the Parable of the Good Samaritan and how that informs her views on immigration. See what kind of Christian she is.
Actually, maybe the question should be addressed to the President. I bet he'd call it a "nasty question."

Re: "Mostly Peaceful Protests" pt 2
You did see her in front of microphones, and she branded all of Los Angeles a 'city of criminals'. Some people should never be in front of a microphone.
That said, Bass and Newsom are awful.

There is a huge difference between killing a human an animal. Some animals just outlive their usefulness and should be put down. If/when a dog gets sick or cannot perform in the matter they were meant to, they should be 'eased' into their afterlife.Nothing like a proclaimed Christian making moral judgements about people when she murdered a dog she didn't like in cold blood.
We kill cows.
We kill goats.
We kill chickens.
We kill pigs.
We kill horses, when they break their leg.
Some cultures kill and eat dogs and cats. Who the fuck are we to judge them? That said, I have no issue with her quote.... but then again, I don't believe she was referring to EVERY person from LA. But I also realize that the press and some board members will take her at her gospel word because it fits their narrative of what they want to believe.
