What a shit show. These protests are such inorganic, top-down orchestrated political theatre. Trump was already in office for 4 years and didn't deport as many people as Obama or Biden. They just media hyped this latest round it to charge everyone up.

I think there's a cycle to it. Every once in a while the system needs a highly charged narrative for the libs to hit the streets on.

People need to start recognizing politics is fake and exploring better ways to channel their energy.

I wish I could say I won't even pay attention, but of course I will be consuming some media on it. I also am not sure how violent it will be or what kind of law enforcement counters will occur. There is always the possibility of major impact along the lines of Covid travel restrictions. My gut tells me it will be a giant nothing burger, but I won't know for sure until after the protests.

These people who are out there doing what they're doing are functioning adults who one would presume can think for themselves, yet it's Trump's fault they're out there? I mean, when you say it's Trump's fault are you saying that the protestors are a bunch of retards who have no self-control? Other than casting votes, I've never done anything in my life because of who the President is or what he does. That's people today, though. It's always somebody else's fault and I'm a victim.

Watching these people in downtown L.A. is like watching a bunch of shit-throwing monkeys running around in the zoo. Low-intellect loser humanoids aimlessly wandering around with their stupid phones in front of their faces. They're not going to accomplish a damn thing. It's like Thomas Sowell said, "Activism is a way for useless people to feel important, even if the consequences of their activism are counterproductive for those they claim to be helping".

And I'm not just kissing Trump's butt. As a former Marine, I disagree with his sending in Marines, that's not their job. It's the job of the police and the National Guard. I don't think anything is going to come of it or that the Marines are even going to be in close proximity of any of the rioters, but I'm not on board with that call.

Interesting take. I dont think the military should be used against US citizens either.

Unfortunately I dont think we're dealing with US citizens for the most part in LA.

Not to start another argument, but the military as well as the President took an oath that included the phrase..... to protect the country against all threats foreign and domestic.

Nothing like a proclaimed Christian making moral judgements about people when she murdered a dog she didn't like in cold blood.

There is a huge difference between killing a human an animal. Some animals just outlive their usefulness and should be put down. If/when a dog gets sick or cannot perform in the matter they were meant to, they should be 'eased' into their afterlife.

We kill cows.
We kill goats.
We kill chickens.
We kill pigs.
We kill horses, when they break their leg.

Some cultures kill and eat dogs and cats. Who the fuck are we to judge them? That said, I have no issue with her quote.... but then again, I don't believe she was referring to EVERY person from LA. But I also realize that the press and some board members will take her at her gospel word because it fits their narrative of what they want to believe.

But my point was that we need to turn down the heat (in L.A. and in politics in general) and stop demonizing "the other side". Saying that L.A. is a city of criminals is exactly he sort of heat we don't need from a top government official. I'd consider a statement like that to be "hyperbole" at best, and if someone said it on a "news channel" (e.g., Fox or CNN) they ought to be forced to apologize. but again, coming from a top government official? Unacceptable and disheartening.

Honestly, the best part of this thread - is the response of the usual suspects - i literally cannot help but laugh. Trying to make it about Kristi Noem or her dog - is absolutely perfect - another perfect example of the brainwashed "assigned response".

Wasn't that the reaction of the Seattle City Mayor for the summer of love, until they started rioting near her house? It was all peace and love....Then? And only then....we needed to clean that shit up.

Or was it all because some dumbass entered and autonomous zone and apparently didn't understand what that meant, because he sued the city because the cops and EMTs didn't get there quick enough for his liking after he was shot! Uhm, you do know what it means to be autonomous, right?
