I do not get involved in politics much in rl, let alone a message board, but im really curious about something.

For all the folks here who voted for Trump. After what has been going on for the last 6+ months, would you have voted differently?

I'm not here to try and stir up anything. I'm neither a democrat or republican. I don't associate with either political party so I won't be engaging in any back and forth insults (I'll leave that for the Mariner board 😁)

This is just a curiosity question.
The alternative was so bad that there was only one vote. Maybe that was by design by the people who are now pulling Trumps strings. I don't know at this point. But they do clearly control both sides.

Trump is doing a lot of great things for the country imo.

Unfortunately, at the same time, he's making our occupier a stronger force.

Politics is fake and doesn't change the course of government. You can't vote your way out of tyranny. If voting mattered, they wouldn't let you do it

If you think the POTUS is real and making real decisions you are as lost as possible. It's all just a show.

The border was open under Biden and it's closed now.

It does make a difference who's "in charge". Even if the man behind the curtain is still actually steering the ship.

The leaders have no power without the order followers.

Please do yourself a favor and let go of the idea that politics is actually real and changes the course of government. The only thing that changes the course of government is non-compliance. Nothing says obedient slave like believing that politics is actually real and the government is actually a good thing and it's run by the people, for the people... that's all propaganda and indoctrination.

Free the world.

I agree with you that it makes a difference who is in charge. The southern border is a good example. So are tax credits for electric vehicles and solar energy. So are "woke" policies in federal agencies. It's hard for me to fathom how anyone would disagree with that, no matter where he or she lines up on the specific issue.

I've always associated the "it doesn't matter" viewpoint with the far left: the people who see everything as ruled by a "system" that is racist, sexist, etc., etc. So until you defeat that system, the argument goes, Democrats and Republicans are just players doing the system's bidding. And it doesn't matter who is president, because ... the system is still the same.
