Tucker Carson said he won't be voting for Republicans this year because of the war with Iran.
He’s repeatedly criticized the war as being at the behest of Israel at the expense of Americans, and attacked the party for failing to represent its own voters, citizens and nation.

“They are making decisions on the basis of other criteria, what’s best for this company, what’s best for Israel, what’s best for our donors,” he said. “That’s not just, like, they are off in the wrong direction, like, that is unacceptable, that’s treasonous, it’s immoral, it can’t continue.”

“I’ve been a consistent defender for 35 years of the Republican Party, I mean very consistent defender, but there’s no defending this,” he said. “So no, I’m out. And if I’m out, then I think a lot of other people are out.”

(Maybe not surprisingly, I did not locate anything about this on the FoxNews website.)
I went to read the article from the link that you provided.....

I love this comment:

Tucker may be many things but, he knows the talking head space well. He has his own production company which translates to a certain portability for his show/podcast. When MAGA was in its growth stage, he pivoted to being…wait for it….MAGA. Now that MAGA numbers are in a sharp decline and the inevitable repercussions of that decline that result in a shrinking conservative audience, he’s going to pivot again. Rest assured that when Tucker decides who he’ll be shilling for next, it’ll be the result of studies and polls showing the potential audience numbers and growth rate. That’s how he grew and maintains his wealth. He believes in nothing of substance. It’s about ratings and income potential.

Which goes right along with the first posting I did in this thread.

As someone who has taken pretty much the same path on supporting Trump as Tucker, I have a hard time believing he's doing it for clicks any more than Thomas Massie did.

They stopped supporting Trump for the same reasons I did.

Same reasons Marjorie Taylor Greene did.

We all wanted what Trump promised. Then he sold us out, covered up for pedos (while simultaneously telling us he no longer wanted our support if we still want the files released, OK then...), and started a war.

It's true the Republicans have lost many of us.

They didn't follow through on the promises.

Then Trump covered up the Epstein files and started doing everything Israel wanted him to, and people aren't having it.

The No More Wars president led us straight to war.
I genuinely do not understand their strategy...

1. Pretend the Epstein files don't exist despite running on releasing the Epstein files as a core campaign promise and that Trump, despite clearly having a close relationship with Epstein for a time, is a choir boy.

2. Call the "affordability crisis" in America a hoax: pretend gas prices aren't an issue, pretend housing pricing isn't an issue, pretend grocery prices aren't an issue, pretend current inflation rates aren't crushing Americans, pretend tariffs aren't something Americans pay for causing prices to balloon.

3. Campaign on "no new wars" and then launch the US into a big war despite telling the American people that Iran had lost their nuclear capabilities last year. Continue to tell the American public that the US controls the Straight of Hormuz and claim for the 40th time the the US has won and that the war is over despite that never once being the case.

4. Pretend Trump isn't using the Presidency to massively enrich himself and his family: making billions off a meme coin that likely cost 10's of thousands their livelihoods, Trump's estate purchasing millions in shares of companies the White House then turns around and gives massive contracts to, Trump trying to sue the IRS for $10 billion and trying to make himself, his family, and the Trump Org immune from any future tax audits.

They are genuinely relying on the strategy of just flat out lying to the American public and hoping people are dumb enough to not see the hole in their pockets or that the Democrats (who hold no legislative power) are always to blame. They really just think their voter base is this stupid and blindly loyal...

I mean look at that video I linked... that is a sitting congressman from Texas flat out saying he's going to buy lobster tails and ribeyes and that people who can't do that just don't work as hard as he does... all while claiming he's about to celebrate the greatest President the US has ever known on the 4th... literal propaganda bullshit.
Well stated.
Founding member of the John Stanton hate club.

This is all that needs to be said. Sad part is, none of us will ever understand their strategy. I've said it before... I think Trump has passed over into Joe Biden (dementia) territory.
