It's actually super valid. Technology is where the jobs are, and they're not as easy as the traditional jobs for the masses like farmer, factory worker, truck driver. That's why the demand for IT professionals currently outweighs the supply but the labor participation levels are only at 63%.

Obviously it takes more intelligence to be an IT guy than to be like a Mexican farm hand picking stuff off trees. But to be an actual farmer/business owner you need to have lot more skills and knowledge then an IT guy. The technology involved in modern farming probably exceeds 80% of businesses.

But, I'm taking it a step further, because I believe eventually even the IT jobs will be automated. The real watershed moment is when the job of truck driver disappears.
