I crack up every time some Pro Athlete gets a false positive. The only reason they know it was false is because of the frequency of being tested. How many people got false positives, but after the results they just quarantined for 14 days and called it good...even thought the test result may have been false?

Talked to my Mom in Marysville last night. She said its REALLY bad here now. I asked why she says that. She said because the Governor and the media says it is. Says my brother and family aren't coming to Christmas dinner because of it.

They live in a retirement community with hundreds 55-90 year olds. She talks to neighbors, friends and relatives all the time.

I asked do you know anyone that has died from it? No.
Do you know anyone that has gone to the hospital for it? No
Do you know anyone that has had it. No.

I asked the same questions about all the people that she has talked to recently. Have they told you about anyone they know? Still No No No.

So its horrible but none of the dozens of people that she knows and talks to OR anyone that they know or talk to have ever had it but my brother isn't coming to Christmas dinner because of it.

Politics have taken over the medical science on this one. It’s so sad to see families making these choices. Parents isolated from their family it’s really crazy. My father in law, in San Diego hasn’t seen any of us since this started, my wife was in Scottsdale last month and wanted to drive the 5 hours to spend some time with him and he was afraid and wanted no company. His other children just an hour away haven’t seen him since March. I was actually the last relative he had over when I stayed with him on my way to spring training.. my dear mother just told my sister who was planning to visit this week not to come over with her grandchildren and great grandchildren that haven’t seen her in a couple yrs. The politicians have managed to split the nuclear family apart......what a shit show
