I've got news for you, bro: the Democratic party doesn't give a shit about you any more than the Republican party gives a shit about conservative voters. George Carlin said it best, "It's a big club and you ain't in it". It's a world that you, I, and everyone else here couldn't even begin to fathom what a cutthroat business it is, and your Democratic politicians are in it for themselves just as much as Republican politicians are.

No hardship? I'm quite sure just about everyone here faced hardship. If anything, young people (most of whom are liberals) today face a lot less hardship because technology has made life much easier and the result is a bunch of fat, lazy, entitled, whiny kids with their faces constantly in their smart phones. And while they haven't had to raise a family, pay bills, serve in the military, etc., they think that they've accumulated more wisdom than old farts who have actually lived life. Last week I decided not to read SoB's posts in the political section, so Gee24, thanks for quoting the post.

I do find it interesting that he HAS TO put as many people down as he can.... sorry, it's more amusing. I assume it's because he can't make it in this nasty world that we created. He doesn't think it's fair that he has to work for anything. The problem with that is that we have worked for everything we have. Houses, boats, cars, vacations.... all worked for with blood sweat and tears in order to EARN what we want.

He needs to keep in mind that when we started to work (at least, here in Washington State) minimum wage was $3.35.
A good used house (50 years old) sold for around $35K, and couples were still able to afford the payments.

I believe minimum wage here in Washington is over $17 an hour. Now SoB has claimed he got a degree in finance, so I have to assume he is paid at least $35 an hour, unless he's shitty at his job.

Maybe he needs to budget better or stop paying for the elite call-girls.


As for the entire board being over 70 and millionaires...... amusing. I doubt there is any more than grandma Lynn over the age of 70.
As for free education, I paid for my own, I paid for my wife's, I paid for my kids.

If you came of age during the Vietnam war, then you had it pretty easy compared to kids in America today. Life was more basic back then, and you could afford homes, cars, and vacations with a basic job.

Or you could be drafted and sent to Vietnam, or you could have been part of the counterculture and lived in squalor, or even if you weren't part of either, living in an era when our leaders were being assassinated left and right. It wasn't Leave It To Beaver, knucklehead.
