WSU is prestigious.

Edward R. Murrow went there.

So did Keith Jackson.

Gary Larson -- Far Side

Timothy Leary -- Ate a lot of Acid

Dolph Lundgren -- actor

Oh, and Paul Allen.

Plus Woodinville Coug.

And me.

Is this true?

So the tests they've been using have been picking up cold/flu?

So, the flu didn't just disappear then?

So "covid", in many cases, actually was the flu?

So they have no idea how many of those covid deaths would have been flu deaths in any other year?

Clownshow.
This is not true.
Based on?

What, CNN told ya?

Ask your doctor how they're isolating "Delta variant".

They don't have a damn clue. They can't even tell the flu apart from covid.

Every university can claim famous alumni.
Hell, even Whitman College here can't stop talking about their astronaut (Dorothy Metcalf), politician (Walt Minnick) and Dirk Benedict. Doesn't mean it's a great school.

Need further proof UW is better than WSU:

Granted, I'll give you Dolph, he is pretty rad....so is Paul Allen, but the rest, not so much.

No. The first I heard about it was your post. Being curious as to why I hadn't heard this, I looked it up and saw all these websites saying the same thing, that the PCR test was recalled because it couldn't tell the difference between the flu and COVID. (I'm re-attaching the image you posted.)

And then I looked at what the CDC said and it was different. They are discontinuing this test because it only detects COVID, but not the flu. They want something else that will detect both COVID and the flu. Matthew Binnicker, director of the clinical virology lab at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota:
PCR tests, including the one developed by the CDC, are highly accurate and are able to differentiate between SARS-CoV-2 and influenza ... In other words, a COVID-19 test will not be positive if a person really has influenza, and vice versa.
Basically, what you posted is a social media rumor, and inaccurate at to the reason the PCR test is being discontinued.

Or are you going to tell the people in this forum that this meme spreading around social media is accurate, and the director of the virology lab at the mayo clinic is wrong?

A lot of people get their information from Facebook and Twitter memes. Those same people call you dumb for listening to CNN. It's insane.

I would definitely take a look at the link! You know, if you provided one. I'm guessing there's a reason you didn't.

How's that Russian Collusion working out?

How's Emmy prize winning Andrew Cuomo working out?

Meanwhile people were making memes of both. They're always conspiracy theories until they're not.

How's that Trump taking office in Aug working out?

How's the 'recount' working out?

You are the king of misinformation. You only believe what you want to believe. If Trump tweeted a meme that the sun wasn't hot - you'd believe him. Thank God he can't tweet anymore.
