GENEVA (AP) — Swiss food giant Nestlé says about 12 tons, or 413,793 candy bars, of its KitKat chocolate brand were stolen after leaving its production site in Italy earlier this week for Poland.
The company, based in Vevey, Switzerland, said in a statement Friday that “the vehicle and its load are still nowhere to be found.”

Honestly, I'm wondering what would be more dangerous for my health, finding a ton of cocaine or a ton of Kit Kat bars.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Sun Mar 29, 2026 7:57 pmJust look for the fat guy sitting on his porch with chocolate all over his face. It might be dawning on the Israelis they have PR issues which they really can't continue to ignore. The terrorist angle is getting worn-out. Don't want to look like a bunch of undisciplined thugs
Tel Aviv — The Israeli military’s top general suspended all operational activities of a reserve battalion involved in the detention and assault of a CNN team in the West Bank last week, the Israeli military said Monday.
The reserve battalion, which is comprised of hundreds of reservists who served in the ultra-Orthodox Netzah Yehuda battalion, will be immediately withdrawn from the West Bank and reassigned to training until further notice, an Israeli military official said.
The sweeping disciplinary action by Lt. Gen. Eyal Zamir, the Israeli military chief of staff, appears to be unprecedented in speed and scope, coming about 48 hours after CNN’s report about the incident first aired. It also appeared to reflect growing concerns inside the Israeli security establishment about spiraling Israeli settler violence in the West Bank

That helps
Israeli police have prevented Cardinal Pierbattista Pizzaballa, the Latin patriarch of Jerusalem, from entering the Church of the Holy Sepulchre to mark Palm Sunday Mass.
The Catholic Church said on Sunday that Pizzaballa and Francesco lelpo, the official Guardian of the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, were both prevented from entering the church
“As a result, and for the first time in centuries, the Heads of the Church were prevented from celebrating the Palm Sunday Mass at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre,” the statement said.
“This incident is a grave precedent and disregards the sensibilities of billions of people around the world, who, during this week, look to Jerusalem,” it added

What a horribly stupid, reductive view of the totality of US... "IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT HERE LEAVE HER DERRRRR." Imagine pretending everywhere is equal. God you really do have the IQ of a flea Xpert.XpertDBA wrote: ↑Thu Mar 26, 2026 9:26 pmI always like asking people on the left......if the U.S. is so incredibly bad, racist, misogynist, blah, blah, blah.....where would they rather live? It's so hilarious that none of them can ever answer that, or if they do, it is some obviously inferior country that they'd be miserable in if they ever really moved there.DavidGee24 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 26, 2026 8:01 pmThe same thing happened to Biden, again it's just the normal course of American politics. Ofc I don't think it's a permanent shift.
I'm celebrating that its a rebuke of the orange clown and the cult members who are ruining this country.
And "ruining this country", sweet Jesus. There's always that low-IQ hyperemotional percentage of the population that thinks the President is "ruining this country" or my personal favorite, "This country is going to hell in a handbasket".![]()
Parts of the US are "bad, racist, misogynist, blah, blah, blah" and drag the other parts way down.
I like living in the places I've lived. Seattle is a wonderful area compared to the dust holes Conservatives call a dream. All the bad pub they like to say about liberal cities is fantastic as far as I'm concerned... stay living in fuck hole America while we occupy the beautiful parts that people actually want to live.
I would hate to live in a place where "bad, racist, misogynist, blah, blah, blah" live and I have to hope that a good amount of people toward the middle are smart enough to not let them rule the country through Christian Nationalism, pretending the President has been delivered to us by God, racism, sexism, hate, etc.
Thankfully enough people are repelled by the vision of the country I just laid out and are showing up to ruin the Trump admin in the midterms. That and Trump isn't delivering on anything good for the American people that he promised so he gets to become a lame duck pretty quickly, lessening the damage he could have done.

Excuse me, but if America is so great then why the Make America Great Again movement? MAGA seems first in line complaining about the place
Re: No New Wars!
In the months leading up to the 2024 election, Trump was easily the leading candidate in the Republican party. During the convention the Republicans voted unanimously to have him represent the party in the 2024 election.
At the same time, as the Democrats were trotting out thier candidates, they had a 'town hall' type question and answer show - the debates - Harris won 1% of the vote. That's One Percent - the lowest of ALL candidates. Then, instead of having to win the Dem Primary, that entire part of the nomination was skipped, and Kamala, the LOWEST rated candidate, was miraculously gifted the nomination. The Dems CHOSE the worst candidate they could find - literally. That's like the NFL gifting the Jets the AFC CHampionship and trip to the SB, despite not winning anything.
When you really think about it, all the messes we are in right now - objectively - are a direct result of the Democratic Party. They trot out the two worst fermale candidates in history (because we need a female president - even though they can't define what a women is - my God the irony is so thick with these buffoons) and Trump beats both of them. ALL the hand wringing and outrage and Trump Derangement Syndrome - all because the Dem party is so spectacularly inept, incompetent and corrupt.
DO they take any responsibility? Of course not. It's always "Blame Trump". Imagine if the Dems ever chose a quality candidate. Who would they have to blame then when thier laughable policies continue to result in blue cities crumbling and the massive exodus of businesses and high net worth tax payers?
Nah, the Dems are the party of 'everyone is a victim, someone else should pay my bills, all problems are because of Trump, diversity over qualifications, everyone is racist. Imagine a world where the Dems were held accountable for thier actions by their own voters.
Seems to me, since Trump is the single biggest problem/threat to the world, the Dems could have easily prevented this - by trotting out a better candidate, right? So, why didn't they? Why did they CHOSE the worst possible candidate and eliminate the actual nomination process?
Incoming: "But, but, but...."
But yeah, shold probably blame that on Trump/MAGA/Racism/climate change...
Remember kids - accountability is for OTHER people.
Oh, - another fun fact - Washington State's new income tax is a direct result of - wait for it - the Democrats stranglehold on the state. But, I am sure, the usual idiots will try tio blame it on Trump, and the usual idiots will be like "Yeah, it's all his fault" whkle ignoring the fact it has nothing toi to with him or the Republicans on any level.

I am far from MAGA, but I try to understand viewpoints other than mine. I'm completely happy to be corrected by anyone regarding the following.Donn Beach wrote: ↑Mon Mar 30, 2026 7:24 amExcuse me, but if America is so great then why the Make America Great Again movement? I believe that "Make America Great Again" holds that we (USA) have slipped from our pinnacle of greatness because of several things, all associated with the political left. Valuing equality of outcomes over equality of opportunity. Affirmative action. Prioritizing political correctness over freedom of speech. Identity politics. Making sure individuals aren't harmed by supposedly racist, sexist, homophobic, etc. speech. Celebrating differences in race, genders, sexual orientation,. etc. Swelling of government bureaucracy and the influence thereof. Encouraging immigration. Encouraging government support for a wider variety of individuals, groups, and reasons. Less reliance on personal responsibility. Denigration of the police and military. Forever wars.
I realize a much better "MAGA list" is probably on Wikipedia or could be generated by any AI agent, but that is my take off the top of my head.
Re: No New Wars!
The slogan was created by Reagan - the country was coming off some bad times - I think this is when the Men's Olympic Hockey team beat the Soviets - a big reason why it was such a big deal at the time. Tensions with the USSR were high and I THINK we had hostages in Iran. People try to make it out to be some kind of 'bad thing' - imagine having a problem with the slogan "Make America Great Again.'" Hard to fathom anyone wiht any common sense or pride would have a problem with that. It's pretty funny when you realize people have been brainwashed into literally hating thier own country - and yet they are too stupid to understand that - they are too busy being consumed with hate and claiming victimhood.gil wrote: ↑Mon Mar 30, 2026 3:36 pmI am far from MAGA, but I try to understand viewpoints other than mine. Imagine getting triggered by "Make the Seahawks Great Again" and you begin to understand how deranged these people are - the worst part is it is such a glaring example of some people's complete inability to think for themselves.

I remember the first time I heard that term and thought wait, when did America ever stop being great? It's just a political buzzword like "change", "rebuild", "reform", etc. that politicians use to imply that the country/state/city has gone to hell in a handbasket and a vote for them will change/rebuild/reform all that. MAGA is a meaningless term, just like "social justice" which actually means "What I want".Donn Beach wrote: ↑Mon Mar 30, 2026 7:24 amExcuse me, but if America is so great then why the Make America Great Again movement?
