Big Beautiful Bill tax impact looking good so far

So thus far on my clients' 2025 tax returns I've been preparing, I'm seeing some REALLY good things happening, especially if you itemize deductions. Along with some of my tricks of the trade that I use, I've been able to flip my clients' federal taxes by several thousand dollars from 2024.

Now, I don't know what the ramifications of the Bill will be or even if there will be any, but I'm having a pretty good time getting clients lots of money back and accordingly increased my fees this year. I didn't like the reforms Trump did in 2018 but it's looking like he did us a solid here, even if I'm just being short-sighted.

This will even be good for you, Seattle Or Bust, as you should be able to deduct your tips from Starbucks. Make sure you thank President Donald J. Trump for your $ 85 refund. 👍

Hey good for all the rich boomers!

"Now, I don't know what the ramifications of the Bill will be or even if there will be any..."

Now, wouldn't that be important to know?

I mean Jesus... if this post doesn't highlight my posts about you people to a tee.

YOU ONLY CARE ABOUT WEALTHY WHITE PEOPLE.

Actually, I care about myself and my clients, none of whom are wealthy and more than half of whom are minorities. And as for any ramifications, I'm sure they won't amount to a hill of beans (the federal deficit goes up, big fucking whoop).

Jesus, you're high and/or drunk right now, aren't you? Look at the anger in your words, all caps and everything. You know what will make you feel better? Filing your 1040EZ so that President Trump can take care of you.

No idea BPJ, the last returns I did today were for a Hispanic couple who made 127K in 2025 and they're getting a federal refund of $ 10,178. They're brown and I don't think that 127K (actually, it was more like 150K but, wink wink) in one calendar year makes one wealthy unless you live in like, Antarctica.

Trump policies have a positive fiscal result. "OMG! Refunds are racist!"
So, the usual suspects should refuse all tax benefits - RIGHT?
You can't fix stupid.
Then again, living off the state and expecting others to shoulder your fiscal burden probably doesn't have a lot of advantages come tax season.

Get this I only worked the first quarter last year but was obviously taxed like I was working the entire year so the feds withheld too much and California taxed me $5800 in 3 months!!! Because I only made 1/4 of what they thought I would I get ALL $5800 back. Also I get $8200 back from the Feds for a total of $14000k. I also just found out that 5 months and 5 days after my Kia EV6 broke down I am getting a Check for $17k delivered on Monday. Today was a good $31k day!

Yeah, I know. You're a Republican. It is impossible to think of people outside of your sphere.

"Now, I don't know what the ramifications of the Bill will be or even if there will be any."

Here's a 10 second Google search:

I'm glad you're having so much fun seeing small tax breaks for your clients while the richest Americans reap the massive rewards. FUCK THE POOR! Am I right?

And these tax breaks hardly matter when Trump renegs pretty much all campaign promises on affordability and makes everything more expensive for the avg American via tariffs. Loved his take yesterday on keeping boomers rich while shaming young people who cannot afford a home as unable to do so, "because they didn't work very hard."

Republicans are about to get RAILED in the mid-terms.
