It can be argued by anarchists and libertarians that all systems of government essentially work this way. All taxation can be considered theft if it's not voluntary. I'm personally okay with paying taxes for basic read and write schooling, some "safety net" programs, and a small amount of central planning and regulation. But, I'm not okay with the massive amounts of wealth stolen from American citizens every day through taxation and banking scams. We actually have it good, though, since the USD is the reserve currency for the world. We're closer to the money printers, and a lot of our inflation is actually passed on to other countries. I read that the FED has injected over 200 billion into the money supply since September '19. Astonishing. 200 billion brand new dollars out of thin air. And, they've got us arguing about systems of government... We are ruled by the dollar only. The government is basically a foreign owned corporation. China owns a good chunk of the debt, and we've got troops everywhere. I think it's way beyond the capitalist / socialist dichotomy at this point... cute meme though.
