I hope MLB fails big time and the networks ratings crater causing advertisers to jump ship. The owners are a bunch of cowards.

If MLB is going to actively support BLM...the least I can do is end my support of the MLB and it's sponsors.

I’m right there with you. I am so tired of players pandering every stinking social fad cause that pops up. Why should any of us give a crap about what they think? Just play the damn game and shut up. I have no desire to even watch them on TV anymore. The NBA is totally beyond belief with the social comments on their jerseys. If college sports start this crap I guess I will be forced to start following T-ball and Pop Warner football.

With all the time that watching sports has taken from my life, I can look back on it and say that it was fun..but that I failed to do it in moderation and could have spent some of that time doing other things. I think a lot of us have interests, talents and curiosities that got put on the "back burner" in favor of kicking back with a beer and watching too much sports and too much TV in general. I see what is happening right now as the perfect opportunity to wean myself from my TV / Sports Habit.

I wonder what percentage of players are actually down with wearing BLM shirts and kneeling. Probably not a lot and most are being forced to do it by peer pressure and because younger men in general are more easily led. Whatever, the whole thing reeks of phoniness.

Yeah, just like Mr. Huff stated that he thinks 80% of the players aren’t on board. The owners and the league brass are cut from the same cloth as many of our mayors, governors, Congress people and Media moguls. What is happening is like you say, phony as hell, and like the mayor of Portland found out, trying to placate the BLM crowd just doesn’t work at all

I agree,

In the aftermath of WW2 opinionators asked the often repeated question: How did Germany fall to the level of a Third Reich ? Didn't the German people see it coming ? Not meant as a hyperbolic comparison but simply as an observation of the power of collectivist thought. And the irony is that the powerful lead the charge. Race has simply replaced class in the marxist narrative. The displays on the playing field are part of the religious ceremony of the faith. Think about it, taking a knee is what orthodox Catholics do upon entering the sanctuary. A man takes a knee when he proposes to his girlfriend. George Washington took a knee in the famous prayer at Valley Forge. Kneeling is a gesture of submission. But this submission has nothing to do with the divine. Its submission to man and human nature. Dare I say the Lord of the Flies.

Scratch another sports ASSociation off the list of relevance.(as if they ever were) The WNBA. Apparently the "National" anthem is offensive to members of the Womens "National" basketball ASSociation as well. Great, maybe when the Alaska Airlines arena actually opens for fans, available seats will reflect capacity. Turning an entertainment event into a political indoctrination rally.....comes with its own form of justice.
