this is just childish vindictiveness - by 'adults' who have been elected to do what is in the best interest of the citizens. Like you said before - this is going to blow up in their faces in November. No way these short-sighted emotionally-based lawmakers survive the next election. Honestly, where are all the men running for office in that city? These women are just unhinged. To target the Chief of Police - clearly because she disagrees with their brand of lawlessness and mob-rule mentality - is going way too far. This is leaning into criminality. And just remember when they raise taxes in Seattle to cover all the costs of the riots and the 'sanctuary city' disasters - these idiots are fiscally accountable for that. You know the lawsuits are coming by citizens and small business owners whose livelihoods have been diminished or erased by the City Councils actions - and inaction - during riots they stoked. This is only going to push the voters to the right - potentially hard right. These people have given every candidate running against them - from governor on down - all the ammo they will ever need to defeat them. The narrow-mindedness of these people - absolutely no consideration for the blow-back and consequences of their actions - is stunning. How do people get this stupid? No long-game plan at all.

This vote is exactly what Seattleites deserve. They have been voting in progressively more socialist/communist "leaders" for decades. Now they are going to reap the whirlwind. It would not surprise me to see Carmen Best resign. And the mayor will have to settle for some small town police chief to fill the position. And what is more important, by getting Best to resign, she will be able to hirs a "yes" person to fill the vacancy. Good luck, Seattle!

Oh, and the second slap in the face is that your taxes are gonna go way up. Have fun with that. Especially as the population declines and businesses move out!

Unfortunately, I don't see a turn around this year. The shit won't really hit the fan until next Spring. That's when the murders, rapes, burglaries, assaults, and street crime will really start to build up. What amazes me is that Seattle will vote for people from other countries who leave their hell holes, come here, run for office, and want to turn where they live into a mirror hell hole of what they left. And that's exactly why nothing will change this election. So you are going to have a hell hole in Seattle until 2022.
