Would the Democrats allow purchasing guns by mail? Or would they demand guns be purchased in person with ID to prevent fraud?

Moe, That is a great question. I'd say that if owning a gun is a citizenship right (the way voting is), then the security systems that are place to prevent voter fraud (i.e., you prove who you are that you are a citizen) would work for guns too.
But if gun purchasing is a privilege (i.e., not available to convicted felons, perpetrators of domestic abuse, the mentally ill, minors, etc.,) then maybe not. But purchasing by mail would still "work" if there were a good database to prevent to groups above from purchasing.

State regulations vary. As far as I know, very few states do not take away a felon's voting rights. Many restore them following servicing a sentence and parole, but many others do not do so automatically.

If Trump shows up at a private hanger at a small airport and an event is not technically "scheduled" there....
Then 500 or 5000 people show up there to greet him isn't it considered a "peaceful protest" at that point?
i.e. Trump had two rallys / visits this weekend to Nevada.
Suddenly the authorities there said he was in violation of the state's COVID gathering laws of no more than 50 people.
Are you freaking kidding me?
So BLM & ANTIFA can march in great numbers and loot and burn down the town but people cannot gather to listen to Trump for an hour.
The people are informed on the "science" and have the right to decide for themselves should they attend, or wear a mask, ect.
So now THEY / Opposition are trying to prevent the President of the United States from working / campaigning in their swing states while uncle Joe takes a nap in his basement.
Trump plays their game and states in public COVID is a thing, but then shows by his actions that they are all full of donkey dung!

Once the truth gets out that COVID19 enforcement was used selectively against Trump Supporters, but not against Liberals at their gatherings...that might flip a few votes.

Actually, from what I have been reading on both sides of the aisle, there will be some major confrontations after the election when Trump wins. What scares me the most are guys like Mattis who are now saying they WANT an armed confrontation. That is a guy who worked for Trump and is now trying to gin up support for an armed "resistance." Where do we get these former military types who support armed insurrection? Didn't they take an oath to uphold the Constitution?
Had a friend who told me once that you shouldn't worry too much abot Generals. Most are political. What you have to worry about are the Lieutenant Colonels!

If Military gets involved...I mean takes sides i.e. Army, Airforce vs. Navy, Marines type sh#t...we're talking a whole new level!
Let's pray it stays on the street level of pepper spray and bricks for a few months then dissipates, freaking Marxists rebels.
They start killing people in mass...well be careful what you wish for.
Civil war this time will be ugly as hell but they'll be gone forever or at least for ours/ childrens lifetimes.
Maybe that's what it takes to save America.
