Sudden Climate Change

Have you noticed lately, what with the cold weather around the Continental U.S., that we haven't heard much about "Sudden Climate Change," or it's step sister, "Global Warming?" Interestingly, cold weather seems to cause more deaths than warm weather as one study illustrates. Studies world wide show even more people die of cold every year, up to 20 times more!

So why do people pay more attention to warm weather than cold weather? Well, for one, we are woefully uninformed as the media will report cold weather deaths, but they don't dig into the problem because most of us are protected from cold weather whereas warm weather affects everyone.

John, you should know that before the industrial revolution the temperature was a constant 59.5 degrees all over the world regardless of season and there were no storms of any kind. That is how the dinosaurs became extinct. Weather boredom.

Sometimes I'm glad I've reached 70 years because I'll die before the "brains" in our government demand we all spend $80,000 for an EV and replace our gas burners. Just remember, to recharge a current EV takes as much electricity as your average air conditioner running for one day. So we can do this if we all turn off our AC units and stop eating because we use petroleum to make fertilizer.

but I wont, I'm 92 yrs. And

I have days where I wish I was 10 years older just so I'll be closer to the end. And retirement

Oh, and don't forget. Our governments are toying with the idea of outlawing gas ranges because they want us to get off cheap petroleum and use more expensive electricity without creating more electricity in the first place.

And then there is fresh water. California is shutting down their desalinization plants even though they are constantly short of fresh water. So, no electricity, no water. The Troglodytes are winning.

Apparently it's healthy to accentuate the positive

Maybe I'll go through each thread on the board and add a "but on the bright side" post. Less anxiety, less stress. :)
