Was on the radio this AM. I wonder how long it would take a train to traverse the Indian Ocean. It takes 13 hours and 15 minutes to fly from Australia to South Africa.

Just the idea of a floating train track that is 1,000's of miles long is amusing to me. I'd love to see the structural components of that track to not be damaged by rogue waves, continual waves, hurricanes, etc...
